Persecution that Purifies the Household of Godby Charles Pretlow November 28, 2022
On the Eve of the Great Falling Away
Are you seeing what’s right around the corner for Christians in America? Indeed, we are on the eve of a persecution madness that will cause many lukewarm and carnally exuberant Christians to deny Christ and even betray true Christians to a “cultural unrighteous mob” bent on cancelling out Christians with deep hatred and rage.
Jesus was clear on the end-time progressive sequencing of insane persecution against righteousness and biblical morality. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another” (Matthew 24:9-10).
Are You Prepared?
Today’s Sunday message addressed the hatred that is now seething and approaching a boiling point. The hatred that Christ described in the above passage can be compared to Nazi Germany’s deep hatred towards Jews.
God is allowing evil to run its course. One reason is to purify his Church; each individual true believer and to chase out the false, the wolves in sheep clothing, and the follower of Christ in name only. When the smoke clears from the coming persecution, (if you have not fallen away yourself,) you will see God’s Church, as the bride of Christ, radiate in purity, giving glory to God in holiness.
Here is the link to our YouTube stream – “Then They Will Hate You.” Satan has every true believer pinged on his evil radar – targeted for destruction. You can expect trouble. We recommend listening to this 30-minute message, so that you might understand just how bad it is about to become for Christians living in United States of America.

Shaking Loose the Love and Cares of Earthly Livingby Charles Pretlow August 22, 2022
America, Unraveling at the Seams
Why is God allowing Satan and wicked people to undermine and cancel the very adhesive core for a free, prosperous, and civil nation?
Through lawlessness, corrupt politics, and tyrannical leaders, a new liberal world order is progressively taking control over every level of our American society. Unfortunately, most Christians and unsaved levelheaded people do not understand why.
Despite the prayers, call to revival, and loud Christian voices of opposition calling for repentance, things are getting worse and worse.
God has not raised up voices and influencers to stop this loathsome reconstruction of the United States. In the fifties, sixties, and seventies, evangelists like Billy Graham were used of God as voices to promote righteousness and the fear of God across America and the world. Then in the late eighties, a flood of Christian scandals began (and continues), where financial and sexual exposés are constant national headlines.
These shocking scandals and a love of prosperity has influenced most Christians to become lukewarm, causing a severe decline of Christianity’s influence upon the American populace and government leaders. Many solid theologians equate most of Christianity in America to that of the church of Laodicea found in the in the book of Revelations. Jesus requited the church of Laodicea for being lukewarm “I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:15-17).
This lack of moral direction from God’s people has drastically shuttered the fear of God across all cultural lines to where the moral and civil fiber throughout the American has become stained and is unraveling right before our eyes. Corruption, crime, hate, rage, sexual perversion, and all manner of evil are national headlines almost daily.
The American culture has morphed into a Biblical definition, where Christ described how this end-time moral decay during the last days would be likened to the days of Noah and Lot, where pleasure in sexual perversions, wickedness, sin, and evil has become unprecedented. In many cases, this end-time moral depravity surpasses the ancient, flooded world as well as Sodom and Gomorrah.
Concerning the loss of Christianity’s influence within any culture, Christ warned: “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet” (Matthew 5:13).
In the book of Hebrews, it speaks of a day when every kingdom on Earth will be shaken as well as the heavens. For those who know Christ’s words about the last days, they should realize by now that the end-time shaking is now upon us. There is a war in heaven taking place right now that is speeding towards its finality, where Satan and his minions will soon be cast down upon the Earth. The ripple effect from this war in the heavens is seen and felt physically worldwide.
Part of Satan’s plan is to create worldwide chaos through lawlessness, corruption, and despotic politics as well increased perplexing troubles, all to instill panic, fear, and hysteria. There is a reason for this satanic madness, it is the devil’s plan to set up the antichrist as world ruler. “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12).
End-time Shaking: “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens”;During the last days of this age, this declaration by God has finally begun. Unfortunately, today, Christ warning words about the end-time shaking are virtually ignored. Few Christians see the handwriting on the wall and realize America and the world is in the grip of the evil one and our troubling times are mounting and will soon cause all hope for stability to disappear. Soon trouble will reach a threshold of complete hopelessness, causing the unprepared Christian, and unsaved goodhearted sinner to wake up to the reality of Christ’s soon return.
God’s people, especially in America have become mesmerized and blinded by the love of this life, distracted by the struggle to make ends meet, legitimate cares, possessions, money, worldly pleasures and fleshly passions. Most Christians are sleeping, in denial of the evil end-time hour that is now raging. The majority are looking to a future where righteousness and stability will be restored by the spreading of the Gospel of Christ, convinced that America is a nation chosen by God to usher in the kingdom of God in a new millennium. With all this increasing lawlessness, many Christian and Republican leaders are simply intensifying their fight to save America, blind to the reality that America has passed the point of no return.
God’s People are Still Working Hard to Keep “Titanic America” Afloat
End-Time Christian Zealots, Fighting a Losing Battle, with No Place to Go
Christians are still bombarded with the following passage: “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
(I had the opportunity to view Jonathan Cahn’s latest message “The Harbingers of Things to Come.” I must say it was well researched in paralleling Old Testament judgments that came upon Israel to the current troubles coming upon America. Unfortunately, Jonathan left out all of Christ’s warnings and descriptive words of the last days troubles and signs. Jonathan, like so many others in ministry avoid expounding on Christ’s words about the last days and how to become prepared to endure to the end. Ignorance and the fear of rejection has silenced most Christian leaders, leaving their listeners unprepared and struggling to navigate in the ever-increasing troubles. At the end of Cahn’s message, like so many he injected 2 Chronicles 7:14 in another bid to save America.)
Few believers dare admit that Ichabod is the epitaph written by God concerning America. The name Ichabod signifies that the glory of God has departed.
Yes, the course of history in America has been altered many times because enough sincere and repentant believers woke up and cried out to God, thus turned the tide during times of evil and darkness. Sadly, Scripture and Christ’s word clearly point out that the world (including America) is beyond “revival reach” and now all that is left are birth pain judgments as the physical coming Kingdom of God approaches.
Over the last thirty plus years, calls for revival, repentance, and restoring godliness to America has done virtually nothing to change the direction that this country has taken in opposition to the Lord’s commands and principles. Yet, God’s people still work feverishly to shore up America’s slide into complete darkness. Most believers are still asleep as they attend church, however, some are waking up and are preparing for outright civil war, while many other Christians try to imagine and create an alternate culture to live within so as to be insulated from the ever-increasing wickedness, despotic governing, and persecution.
Unfortunately, there is no “Plymouth Rock” physical destination for the die-hard patriot to flee to. And fighting the coming tyrannical political leaders will end in disaster just as the Jewish Zealots fought a losing battle against Roman tyranny. (Jesus warns us to stay awake and pray to have strength to escape all these terrifying end-time troubles—not to fight them.)
Deadly, Tyrannical Persecution of Christians
Prior to the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, Jewish Christians suffered extreme persecution by hands of the Jews. This caused most Jewish Christians in Jerusalem and Judea to flee their country and escape death, Roman captivity, and worldwide dispersion. The Jewish Christian had to give up the love of Israel as a nation, along with Temple worship and filter out into the world to escape deadly persecution.
Extreme persecution is what every sincere believer can expect in these last days. Like Christians fleeing Judea and Jerusalem prior to the destruction of the Temple, the coming persecution will be used of God to break the hold that America has on His people. Many will wake up, become ready by developing strength of faith in Christ through a genuine relationship with Christ. (So many today attend church and follow Christ in name only.)
A Strong Delusion Sent by God Creating “Persecution Rage”
As for the wicked reprobate, to include many lukewarm Christians, God is literally sending upon them a strong delusion, causing them to believe lies, false ideology, false science, false teachings, wicked politicians, all to lead a multitude to end up putting their trust in the soon to come antichrist. God will not grant repentance for the wicked, yet many Christians will continue to try to convert the wicked in hopes of saving America. In the coming days all will be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The Apostle Paul warns about the last days of this age: “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
In 2 Peter 2, the apostle warns that this of kind of person will come to church as troublemakers. Peter referred to them as waterless springs and accursed children who were better off never to hear of the Gospel of Christ. In Jude the author warns: “But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit” Jude 1:17-19
There is a great division developing throughout the American culture. The wicked are being sealed for destruction and the righteous, genuine believer in Christ as well as the lost goodhearted sinner are being forced to come away from an “end-time Babylonian” type of culture. Soon many will call out to Christ in godly grief, repent and become cleansed and learn what it means to grow up into salvation. Unfortunately, most believers today live on the milk of the word and are definitely not ready for Christ’s soon return. “Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good” (1 Peter 2:2-3).
As Christians who don’t want to be left behind, now is the time to give up the love of this world, the pride of life, and lust for prosperous living: “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:15-17).
Now is the time to know, understand, and do all of Christ’s words, embracing sound doctrine and the discipline of the Lord that transforms our old nature into the divine nature (from the inside out, avoiding hypocrisy). “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire” (2 Peter 1:3-4).
Again, unfortunately, the majority of God’s people are sound asleep as the last days of this age play out. Unwilling to give up hope and effort to save America or somehow form an alternate underground system to ride out the storm. Most are sound asleep and busy working, making ends meet, attending church, being satisfied with the status-quo. The status-quo of the American dream and contentment that full of peace and prosperity is vaporizing right before our eyes.
How will God awaken and purify a sleeping Church? The major result of the coming strong delusion sent by God upon the wicked and false Christian will spawn a “persecution rage” against true Christians and attack any call to restore morality. Just examine the demeaner and lack of reasonable thinking with the liberal media, most democrats, and the far-left radicals. Already the hateful fury towards Christian influence and righteousness ignites persecution like a flame-thrower in combat. The wicked will continue to gain more and more political and legal control pressing Christians and the unsaved levelheaded person to give up on God, moral decency. The vocal righteous will be forced to get out of the way, becoming cancelled one way or another. Many lukewarm Christians and hypocrites will fall away and even sell out others to save their own hides.
This last day persecution rage that has now started will cleanse God’s people and cause the sincere believer to work out their salvation: “But the one who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13).
When the smoke clears from this fiery persecution, a pure bride of Christ will become visible and powerful. The true Christian will “grow up into salvation” and walk in maturity. Then the world will witness God’s true Church bring forth the good news of the soon return of Christ and the physical coming of the kingdom of God on Earth.
The Bundling of the Wicked: As for the evil person, their future is already planned by God just as Christ explained: “Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear” (Matthew 13:40-43).
A United Christianity to Save America is Folly
Beware of the push to unify Christian denominations to demonstrate political clout. Scripture warns of an end-time giant harlot church that will make a deal with the antichrist’s world powers. In the end this conglomerate of false churches unified through false ecumenical doctrine will be betrayed and taken down by the antichrist.
Soon God will begin to extract (on a large scale) true believers, pulling them out of phony churches and leading them to attend local fellowships that see and warn on how to get ready for the coming dark, dark hour and stand before Christ when he appears.
These fellowships will be made up by individual believers who are on fire for Christ, growing up into salvation and maturating as servants of our Lord in an end-time fight to bring souls to Christ, making disciples out of each precious person.
The coming dictatorial rulership forced upon the world (and America) by the antichrist will give no quarter to anyone who opposes or wars against this end-time global government. The sincere Christian must decide quickly on joining God’s army and so be used by God to save souls in the final harvest. The alternative is to cling to what was and try to save America politically or by insurrection which will only lead to futility. Many patriotic Christians will fight the antichrist world order and run the risk of being left behind by Christ and locked out of eternity. Their fighting demonstrates just how much more they love the world and care very little about loving God and becoming ready to leave this world for the coming millennial reign of Christ and not dare to look back.
Self-Imposed Martyrdom — Dying for a Lost Cause
When Christ was arrested, Peter was bent on proving that he would follow Christ to prison and to death, by fighting, killing, and maiming as many guards as possible, thus Peter started out by cutting off the ear of one of the Temple guards arresting Christ. Christ’s response was: “Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?” (John 18:11). Then Jesus touched the servant of the high priest and mended his ear.
Later during Christ’s trial, when he was brought before Pilot, the Roman governor of Judea. (The Temple rulers were trying to get Pilot to do their dirty work by pronouncing a judgment of death upon Christ.) They were accusing Christ to be a rebel rouser, in that Christ was claiming to be the true Jewish king, and that they (the Jews) should be allowed to put to Christ to death.
A Kingdom not of this world: So, Pilot asks Christ if he is the king of the Jews? Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” (John 18:36).
The last day true Christian must learn to live in God’s invisible kingdom, stop believing that somehow God has set aside America to be exempt from becoming part of the new world order. God will make a way through this coming end-time nightmare, but we are required to give up the love of this life, and no longer fight to preserve the American culture and government that was once a free democracy.
God will make a way through this seemingly impossible journey via the Holy Highway: “And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray. No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there. And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away” (Isaiah 35:8-10).
By becoming a disciple of Christ, embracing all of his words, God will make a way to escape: “But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36). We must remind ourselves that the true Christian gets the world handed back to them during the coming physical reign of Christ. For a slight movement the wicked will seem to win but, in the end, become hell’s residents as they gnash their teeth.
Fighting against the temporal powers in this coming satanic world order will end in a self-imposed martyrdom. There may be an insurrection but, in the end, it will not save America from end-time judgment and the antichrist global reign resulting in Great Tribulation.
True Christians are called to be used of God for the coming final harvest, saving souls for the soon to come kingdom of God. Trying to save America by fighting or undermining the coming despotic rule will be a lost cause.
One Last Righteous Bounce — Not Enough
America is becoming very unpleasant to live In
Don’t become deceived or fooled with another righteous pushback. As last days judgments mount up and lawlessness increases, efforts to restore law and order, peace and civility will be like pouring gasoline on fire to put it out. At times it will appear that morality will be restored to the American culture, but only to gain little impact that soon dissipates, never to profoundly change America’s self-destructive course.
The prophetic words found in the book of Revelation will soon be embraced by many Christians as America becomes a very unpleasant place to live in. The Spirit of God will trumpet the following: “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities” (Revelation 18:4-5).
Abiding in a Kingdom Not of this World
For now, believers must learn to abide in the invisible kingdom of God where the fellowship and love between likeminded believers is full of peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Abiding in Christ and living in the family God and growing in maturity walking in Christlike attitude, pressing to know and do the perfect will of our heavenly Father. “Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).
The awakened saint must embrace the trials of life trusting in God’s loving discipline. We are to learn to store our treasures in heaven, seeking the fulness of Christ. “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12).
As the birth pains of the coming physical Kingdom of God expands, the goal of every true believer should be to strive for strength of faith in Christ (not in self or the government) to escape the coming Great Tribulation troubles and be prepared to stand before Christ at his appearance and the rescue of the saints.
Some will be martyred to glorify God for the sake of the Gospel while others will have the forethought, guidance by the Holy Spirit, and divine provision to hold out until the rescue at Christ’s coming and not submit to the antichrist’s world order for buying and selling.
Believers who are prepared to endure are about to realize what it means to live in a kingdom that cannot be shaken: “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:28-29).
Though there will be extreme challenges and sufferings, however, as the Apostle Paul proclaims: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us” (Romans 8:18).
Imperative End-Time Gifts of the Holy Spiritby Charles Pretlow May 17, 2022
“And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:29-36).
Four days into the Russian-Ukraine conflict, as fears grew worldwide that this war could expand into a possible nuclear war (WWIII), I heard a word from the Holy Spirit, “Fizzle.” I immediately shared this encouraging word with a few others and later with our fellowship. This prophetic word does describe what this conflict is evolving towards – a failure for the aggressor in which the conflict fizzles to a stalemate, causing the conflict to eventually cease.
Through the many years of ministry and severe challenges in life, for myself and in ministering to others, the true gifts of the Holy Spirit have become a cornerstone with my walk with Christ. I learned that the main requirement for properly hearing from the Holy Spirit was to develop the desire to act upon the guidance that the Holy Spirit wants to give. The other main requirement to hear rightly from the Holy Spirit was to embrace Christ’s words, including the harder words that so many believers avoid. Knowing, rightly understanding, and applying God’s word allows for discerning, testing, and confirming what we should be hearing from the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit works with the written word of God and when properly understood, the Holy Spirit can cause God’s word to pierce to the very core of our motivations for all of life. “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:12-13).
If we ignore our inner carnal motives, God will allow us to hear what we want to hear, and the end of this kind of self-deception is part of the harder discipline of the Lord and is meant to expose how we are easily misled by counterfeiting spirits.
The discipline and training in hearing rightly is not easy, yet as the end-of-this-age draws upon us, we must realize this is how God’s people will be able to safely navigate the end-time troubles that are ramping up and screaming at us to wake up… to wake up, stay awake, and become prepared.
Strength of Faith in Christ—Not in Our Own Strength and Resources
When Christ instructs his end-time followers to pray to have strength to escape these terrible things that are now taking place, he primarily means strength of genuine faith and obedience towards Himself and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We must develop a prayerful relationship with our heavenly Father to receive divine strength to, “Escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Remember, it is: “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).
Already many Christians are squirming as they see the American culture, institutions, and government turn wicked and our God given freedoms erode. Many are preparing for what they think will most likely come. However, most are preparing on a carnal-worldly level of thinking and plan on ways to survive a great societal upheaval or even WWIII.
Doomsday preppers have been around for some time and many Christians are starting to wake up and seriously look for ways to survive and escape if a terrible calamity occurs that ends America as we know it.
Indeed, all the things we see taking place; lawlessness, corruption, pandemics, sexual perversion, natural disasters, manmade calamities, all clearly indicate the end is now upon us. The changes within the American culture, its laws, and political leadership point to a transformation of our national identity towards a new world order of nations without boundaries. American individual freedoms are quickly eroding towards a government controlled socialistic-communist society. It is all coming to a boiling point leading towards the antichrist rule.
About a year and half ago my Christian dentist made the comment that normalcy will not be restored to America unless a civil bloodbath takes place. He was implying that the only way back for a free America is a massive revolt by the righteous citizenry.
These are the Last Days of this Age — There Will Not Be Another Revolution Coming
Most Christians are unprepared because they are not familiar with Christ’s words concerning the last days. Christ warnings, when understood will instill a proper mindset on how to become strong, prepared, and able to endure and stand before Christ when he appears, and the rapture takes place.
What America and the world are experiencing now are the preliminary troubles leading into the Great Tribulation. These political upheavals, wars, rumor of war, natural disasters, signs in the heavens, pandemics and lawlessness are a prelude. The next disturbing sign that will lead directly into the revealing of the antichrist is extreme persecution towards Christians and Israel.
Horrific Persecution Causing a Great Falling Away and Betrayal by Fellow Christians
If you are following the news, it should be clear that we are now approaching the last “preliminary phase” which will be the beginning of a deadly and appalling persecution: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another” (Matthew 24:9-10).
Walking in the true gifts is becoming more important every day and will be vital in navigating through these turbulent end-time days.
Discerning and avoiding potential trouble or an evil person disguised as a believer may make the difference between prison, death, or freedom. The discipline of the Lord will cause naïve Christians to grow up and become mature, resulting in the ability to discern game players and Judas-type implants amid the fellowship or even in family. We are to avoid such people.
“I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you” (Romans 16:17-20).
The Apostle Peter wrote about false Christians sneaking into fellowship who become blots and blemishes within the congregation: “They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you” (2 Peter 2:13).
This kind of false Christian has infiltrated most fellowships and congregations and few in leadership understand the potential trouble from this type of phony when the shaking really begins. Betrayal by the false believer or even by the carnal weak Christian will become widespread bringing mindboggling trouble, destruction and undermining the whole fellowship.
Many fellowships and churches will have to meet underground as the last days persecution increases and especially during the initial months of the Great Tribulation’s antichrist rule—until the Lord rescues his saints.
The Pre-Tribulation Rapture Lie
Unfortunately, many Christians are happily content despite all the end-time signs because they believe Christians will be rescued before any real trouble starts. Many of these unprepared Christians will be the first to sell out other believers to buy food or ensure their own safety and wellbeing. The shortages of products, baby formula, and other essentials currently taking place now is just a sample of what is to come. When the real trouble hits, be assured a global control over food supplies will be required.
On the other hand, many believers are fearing just about anything, from COVID vaccine to cell phones transmission signals, to digital driver’s license being the mark of the beast. These high tech and medical advances are not the mark but represent mass conditioning for people to eventually have a microchip implanted under their skin to process financial transactions and contain personal identity and medical data.
The mark of the beast will be implemented to control commerce, “Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name” (Revelation 13:16-17).
For Christians, fear and paranoia will cause many to overreact and create premature trouble for themselves because they lump all these different technologies as being of the mark of the beast.
The only trustworthy words about when the mark of the beast occurs, the start of the Great Tribulation and when the rapture will occur, are Christ’s: “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven” (Mark 13:24-27).
Then, as one walks in purity and holiness, where the true Gifts of the Holy Spirit are active and His voice is clearly discerned—then the Lord can guide, protect, provide, and deliver during the coming troubling days.
A Sample of what to Expect
If you want an historical picture of what some of the persecution and evil government will look like during these last days, I suggest you read The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom.
In 1973, while serving in the Marine Corps I came to know Christ. As a young Christian, one of the first compelling and influential books that I read was The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom. Then in 1975, during my first year at Bible college, I had the opportunity to listen to Corrie speak at one of our student chapels.
I was about five years older than most of the other college freshman, having seen more of the harder challenges of life. My father was a WWII veteran who made sure his children knew and understood the evils that America and the world endured fighting Japan, Italy, and Nazi Germany.
When Corrie spoke, she received a far less enthusiastic reception than the other speakers such as NFL lineman Norm Evans. Evans spoke of his faith and about the new Seattle Seahawks team—however; it was Corrie’s words that deeply moved me. Norm’s talk electrified the students and was the buzz on campus—Corrie’s warning words seemed to fall on deaf ears.
Corrie ten Boom was a famed author, speaker, and survivor of several Nazi concentration camps—this woman had truly seen evil—yet the students’ reactions and comments were not very enthusiastic. To me and a few other students she was the most profound of all the speakers we had during my years attending Bible College.
I do not remember what Norm spoke of, other than in general terms as a celebrity Christian sharing the typical testimony of being born again and becoming so happy. However, backed by my knowledge from reading her book, The Hiding Place, Corrie’s warning words penetrated my life; her testimony was sobering and inspiring and still rings in my spirit.
She gave a stern warning to the student body of Seattle Pacific College on that day. The essence was that—what happened in her country, Holland, and all of Europe, can happen here in America. Evil will gain victory even in America, when God’s people forget, fall asleep, and ignore Christ and his teachings.
With the warning of the coming darkness, Corrie emphasized how important discernment would become for Christians. Fewer and fewer born-again Christians understand what is now at our doorsteps. Most lack the ability to detect evil lurking in every corner of society as well as in fellowship—we must learn to hear from the Holy Spirit and recognize the rising evil and avoid disaster, if not it will take us out.
Last days evil has invaded government, business, and even Christianity—as lawlessness spreads throughout the American culture, evil increasingly surfaces in community, fellowship, and family, causing trouble, discord, mayhem, and death.
The majority of Evangelical, Pentecostal, and Charismatic Christians, beginning in the mid-seventies expected Christ to return at any moment. Enlightened believers were convinced they would be raptured at any time, with the belief that God would rescue all Christians before any real end-time troubles took place.
Christian leaders and authors like Corrie ten Boom who recognize the coming last days evil or endured sufferings such as Nazi Germany and other evils have been ignored or cancelled by most Christians. Primarily because they hold to the Biblical interpretation that Christians will have to endure a major period of the Great Tribulation before the rapture takes place.
Instead, Christians received a steady diet of “take it easy” messages and false teachings, as they reject the true words of Christ about the Great Tribulation. Thus, God’s people for the most part are sound asleep at the darkest hour.
Again, Christ warned about the last days troubles by saying, “But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Praying for strength to escape and stand before Christ when he appears means much more than stocking up on food, finding a safe place to ride out the storm, arming ourselves and joining a local vigilante group, or networking with a likeminded secret society.
These and other things may very well be what God wants but to bypass the discipline of learning to hear rightly and obey the Holy Spirit’s voice, on what to do and when to do it, will most likely become a trap and bring destruction.
Trying to ride out the storm or joining the fight to restore America may cause you to be left behind when Christ rescues Christians who are ready to leave the Earth in this current dark age. Clinging to what America was and trying to restore it will be akin to Lot’s wife. She looked back when she was told not to look back. Why? What was in her heart became the death of her.
Many Christians are unprepared because they refuse to give up the love of this world. “Do not love the world or the things in the world.
Let go of the love of this age and don’t look back but seek God’s divine direction to escape and stand before Christ.
A major aspect of MC Global Ministries outreach to God’s people is to help the sincere believer learn how to hear rightly and obey the Holy Spirit. To learn how to pay the price of working with God in his personal discipline and training program in becoming mature, cleansed, and transformed to be Christlike in character. Many Christians learn to mimic the Christian walk, but do not know Christ personally, abiding in him and hearing his voice and obeying.
You are encouraged to attend our up-and-coming conference being held here Canon City, Colorado on October 29th. Our goal is to lay out sound doctrine to help others become ready and ministry examples of avoiding evil, or confronting evil by the power of the Holy Spirit.
A Comparative Look at the Discipline of the Lordby Charles Pretlow February 12, 2022
It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons [and daughters]. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it” (Hebrews 12:7-11).
Teachings on the discipline of the Lord are woefully missing throughout Christianity. Few understand the importance of being trained and disciplined by the Lord. This passage from Hebrews warns that Christian men and women who avoid God’s discipline are considered illegitimate children of God.
As the end-of-this-age unfolds, Christians who do not participate in God’s prescribed training course and discipline are at great risk of being taken out by the devil’s schemes. Waiting until things really heat up to wake up may cause the unprepared Christian to be locked out of eternity.
Even now, Christians are beginning to feel the heat of persecution and hardship, challenging their apathy and for many, straining their lackadaisical faith. Most Christians are taught to develop an arrogant faith with an attitude that Satan is a lion who roars but has no teeth. Few Christians realize Satan and his fallen angels are losing the war in the heavenly’s and are about to finally be thrown down to Earth and execute outright war upon the saints. (See Revelation 12:7-12.)
This article is meant to help the reader seriously consider the need to participate humbly and whole heartily in the discipline of the Lord before it’s too late. To allow the Lord to make their faith real, resting in the power of His might, that one may be able to escape the coming troubles and stand before the Son of Man. (God’s discipline is started by simply but seriously giving the Lord permission to allow whatever trials and challenges are needed to produce Christlike character transformation and perfect genuine faith.)
We must realize that we are engaged in a vicious and deadly war, battling against the powers of darkness as the end-time troubles increase, along with the proliferation of evil people. Jesus warned that Satan would succeed in planting evil people world-wide, in every level of society—acquaintances, friends, former relationships, family, professionals, politicians, entrepreneurs, teachers, the rich, the poor, religious people and even throughout Christianity.
An army of evil people, along with a myriad of demons and fallen angels, all trained by the devil and working towards Satan’s plans is about to cut lose. Indeed, we are witnessing the advance workings already, “And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him” (Revelation 12:9).
Few Christians are trained and disciplined by the Lord to victoriously withstand the coming battles between light and darkness. However, God has a plan to raise up a glorious Church, transformed and perfected through trouble and intense persecution.
Brace yourself, for out of nowhere strange attacks, trials, and spiritual oppression, hardships, sickness, and challenges will come upon Christians, which is all meant to purify faith for Christ’s glorious bride. If we embrace God’s discipline now, the coming end-time battles won’t be that difficult. These battles will expose self-reliance, selfish ambition, bitter judgments, fears, unresolve inner rage, arrogance, carnal worship, self-exaltation, and apathy. Count it all joy when you suffer, for God is treating you as his child, but make sure you are not suffering for wrongdoing.
A Marine Corps Example of Discipline
The following account is from my days in Marine Corps bootcamp back in 1969. In particular, it is a story of extreme discipline that drove home the importance for every recruit in my platoon to become qualified with his service rifle.
Edson Rifle Range, Camp Pendleton is located near Oceanside California close and adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. Our platoon spent two weeks there during bootcamp. Each week, four platoons (about 240 recruits) would travel from San Diego to Edson Range for a temporary stay of two weeks. My platoon with three other platoons (a series) made the trip to the rifle range during the last two weeks of December 1969.
We arrived on a Sunday and settled into our barracks, then on Monday we began our first week of training by learning all the firing positions and other important techniques of firing quickly and accurately. The Marine Corps holds great pride in making every Marine a deadly marksman on the field of combat, regardless of one’s final military occupational specialty.
That first week we marched to different areas where recruits were trained in proper positions, such as prone (as exampled in this picture) or sitting, kneeling, or off hand, both slow fire and rapid fire.
Our service rifle was the M14 which uses the 7.62 mm caliber round, equivalent to the popular 308 cartridge. The normal magazine capacity was 20 rounds and could be fired in a semi-automatic mode or switched to fully automatic (machine gun).
Also, during our first week at the range, in the afternoons our series took a turn on the rifle range pulling, marking, and changing targets for the series of platoons ahead of us, who were in their second week of live fire. The course of fire was 200 yards, 300 yards, and 500 yards using various positions, again kneeling, standing, sitting, and prone, both slow and rapid fire.
At the end of the first week each platoon took a trip to the armorer and had firing pins put back in their M14. Then, at the end of week two, before we left for San Diego after qualifying, the firing pins were removed.
The second week we began live fire. Throughout the week of live fire, we were given windage and elevation information to adjust our rear sights for each course of fire. If there was a change in wind direction or velocity, coaches permanently stationed at the range to train recruits would give windage correction as needed.
It just so happened that Thursday was January 1st, a holiday. That meant we lost a day of live fire, so Wednesday instead of Thursday was considered “pre-qual” day. (Losing a day of live fire practice was a minor issue concerning the Marine Corps.)
On that Wednesday, “pre-qual” day, I had the highest shooting score in my platoon (so at evening chow I was awarded the privilege of being first in the chow line). I missed expert by a few points but was proud to earn a sharpshooter score and top shooter in the platoon. Then New Year’s Day came, and we did our basic training in and around the barracks, wrote letters home, and had a little easier holiday routine.
Then came qualification day (Friday), and our drill instructors were a little more demanding than usual. Reveille was always at 5 AM, but most of us recruits woke up on our own at 4:30 AM to get a head start for the day—making our racks, showering, shaving, and getting dressed.
This morning was exceptionally colder than the other days at the range, as we stood in line for morning chow feeling a chill in the air. The wind was freshening, coming off the ocean with a cold bite. After chow, we arrived at the range to begin our qualification day of firing. I noticed that the wind picked up, making the range flag stiff, flapping in the wind at a 90-degree angle. The range coaches were giving us large windage adjustments.
It was quite a bit colder and windier than we were accustomed to, but this should not be a problem, providing our windage adjustments were correct.
At each firing line new windage adjustment had to be made. At the end the day, I was hoping I qualified; however, my shot book used to call and record my actual score seemed conflicting. It turned out that I missed qualifying by about six points.
Punishment for the Non-Quals
When we returned to our barracks, our head DI, Staff Sergeant Wolfe called those who qualified to fall out and head into the barracks. (Our barracks at the range had two levels, and our platoon had the top level.)
Then SSgt Wolfe arranged all the non-quals into ranks (rows) consisting of six recruits, with the head rank of recruits having the highest score, then each subsequent rank having lower scores. (Those who came closest to qualifying would be punished more than the others who had even lower scores.) There were about four or five ranks of non-qual recruits, six recruits to a rank. (That meant about a third of the platoon did not qualify—normally there would be four or five who did not qualify.) My rank was the first since I was among the top six that came closest to qualification.
When the non-qual ranks were formed, the exercises began. One of our junior DIs, Sergeant Beverlin, stood on the second-floor balcony barking out orders. First was jumping jacks, then bends and thrusts, then pushups, then we started over and over and over. These intense exercises continued on for maybe ten minutes, when finally, Sgt Beverlin called out for the last rank to run up the top of the stairs and into the barracks. The remaining non-qual recruits continued on with exercising.
Then in about five-minute intervals, each remaining rank was ordered up the stairs one rank at a time—to what or where I would not find out until my rank, the last rank was finally called.
I was the first in my rank to run up those two flights of stairs. At the top, Sgt Beverlin pointed us to go straight through the barracks into head (bathrooms) on the far side of the barracks. SSgt Wolfe and our other junior DI, Sgt Riley were positioned at the head of the barracks, each barking out commands to run into the head as they interwove insults and threats with their orders.
Needless to say, the last rank was the most winded. Trying to catch our breath as we ran through the barracks into the head was impossible. (The barrack’s head (bathroom) was large, to include toilets, sinks, mirrors, and showers and a large linen closet.)
As I turned into the head, another recruit was holding the linen closet door wide open with his right hand and motioning with his left hand and yelling for us to go into the closet. His face expressed extreme anxiety as he tried to stand as far away from the opened closet door as possible and still hold on to the doorknob.
Welcome to the Ammonia Locker
I was first to run into the linen closet, as the others piled in after me. All of us were panting, trying to catch our breath after the intense workout and sprint up the stairs and into the closet. Suddenly, my eyes, nose, throat, and lungs felt like they were on fire. Every breath I took inhaled more fumes from a liquid that had been doused over every square inch of the closet. The stench was familiar and became instantly overpowering, then the closet door suddenly was slammed shut and locked by the recruit who was holding the door open.
The six of us were locked in a closet soaked in commercial strength ammonia, and the affect was suffocating. I put my face into my utility hat and stood in one corner of closet trying to get some relief and mouthed a few cuss words for comfort but was unable to garner any relief. All of us in our group were murmuring and swearing, then one recruit finally became unraveled emotionally.
This recruit pounded on the door, loudly cussing out the DIs by calling them SOBs and demanding that they open the door and let us out. Finally, this recruit cried out “Oh Mom! Why did I Ever Join?” (I have never forgotten those words through the years since.)
What seemed like forever, but finally the closet door was unlocked and opened, and we all ran out slipping on what appeared to be vomit on the shower floor. (I don’t know if it was from someone in my group or from a previous group, or maybe the poor recruit assigned to hold open and close the closet door had succumbed the fumes and lost his lunch?)
Out into the barracks we ran as Sgt Riley barked out orders to line up in formation and stand at attention. Our eyes burned and teared to the point of impaired vision, our noses ran profusely as we tried to gasp for air through our nose, standing at attention with our mouths shut.
Starting at the far end of our line of recruits, Sgt Riley asked the first recruit if he was the one cussing out the DIs? The recruit said “Sir, No Sir.” Then he asked the next recruit and got the same answer, and so on as each said “Sir, No Sir.”
Finally, being the last in the line, it was my turn to be asked. (I instantly had the notion that if nobody fessed up, we most likely would have to return to the closet.) Thus, I responded, “Sir. Private Pretlow was screaming and cussing, Sir.”
Sgt Riley looked a little taken back by my answer, then barked out, “Dismissed.” We then were instructed to perform basic duties and prepare for evening chow. Just before chow, we had some free time and word spread that the platoon below us had worse punishment. Those poor non-quals were instructed to lock back their bolt of their M14, stick their right thumb in the chamber, then release the bolt and let it slam home on their thumb. The recoil spring on the M14, when cocked then released has tremendous pressure and velocity. Their thumbs would be bruised and sore for days.
After evening chow SSgt Wolfe gathered our platoon together in the front of the barracks and explained that the whole series (four platoons) had a non-qual rate of over 30%. This outrageous number warranted an investigation, and it was determined that a third from each platoon were given wrong windage adjustments. It was not our fault for not qualifying, and we would have to stay an extra day and all four platoons would requalify.
No apology, no feeling sorry for those being punished for no reason. That was part of the deal in Marine Corps bootcamp back in the day. Today, there is no physical abuse dispensed by Marine Corps drill instructors, whatsoever. (Yet, the Marine Corps is still the most demanding of all the American military branches when comes to basic training.)
Upon graduation day, our platoon was gathered in full dress uniform in our barracks back in San Diego. As we waited to go to our graduation ceremony at the base theatre, all three of our drill instructors stood before us in their dress uniforms as well.
We were no longer considered recruits, but Marines and as SSgt Wolfe spoke to the platoon his words became etched in my heart, driving home what it meant to be part of the brotherhood of Marines. As he talked about how proud all the DIs were that we made it, we could see each drill instructors eyes moisten, expressing genuine concern as SSgt Wolfe expressed the following:
“We were hard on you because all of us have been to Viet Nam several times, and we have seen too many body bags (dead Marines). If you hesitate in doing what your told, you will get killed or your buddy killed.”
The ammonia locker and the countless other extra exercises and extreme punishments for mistakes all now made perfect sense, sealing a deep respect for our drill instructors love for us recruits. The following was the Drill Instructor’s Creed (Unfortunately, today the word God is removed):
These are my recruits, I will train them to the best of my ability.
I will develop them into smartly disciplined, physically fit, basically trained Marines, thoroughly, indoctrinated in the love of God, County, and Corps.
I will demand of them and demonstrate by my own example, the highest standards of personal conduct, morality and professional skill.
The Last-Days Discipline of the Lord Upon His Children
Like Marine Corps drill instructors and much more, Christ demands leaders to lead by example and to work with the Lord to make disciples. A true disciple will become disciplined to obey all of Christ words and embrace the discipline of the Lord in all of life. The harder discipline of the Lord is a season of unexpected challenges, trials, and demonic oppression that guides the sincere Christian into genuine faith, to share in God’s holiness and receive his guidance, provision, and protection.
Christ does not baby or feel sorry for believers who skip along in life, playing church, in love with the world following Christ in name only when they fall. However, the Lord does comfort his disciples when they become broken of their pride and carnal self-righteous energy, learning to humbly walk before him in fear and trembling. Christ delivers each sincere believer from the evil one. “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken” (Psalm 34:18-20).
In the coming days Christians will need to hear rightly from the Holy Spirit and not hesitate to obey. Even a trip to the grocery store may be redirected by the Holy Spirit. The Lord knows in advance the plans of the wicked and directs the righteous away from evil. As for the undisciplined believer who walks in his or her own counsel and is driven by the passions of the flesh; trouble and even premature death will rest upon their shoulders as end-time disasters, lawlessness, and persecution increase.
Trials are Vital Part of the Discipline of the Lord
James sheds light on the discipline of the Lord by exhorting believers to remain steadfast and embrace trials by stating: “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12).
The term crown of life in this passage refers to “zoe” life; the life God gives to those who become true disciples of Christ. It is definitely not the so-called abundant and prosperous life on Earth that so many false teachers brag about. Those days of ease for Christians is coming to an end.
Those who wake up in time and embrace God’s discipline and training will develop a real relationship with Christ. The disciplined disciple will succeed in crucifying the desires and passion of the flesh. He or she will receive strength of faith to escape all these end-time troubles and stand before Christ when he appears and rescues his Church.
In the coming days many shallow and undisciplined Christians will wish they never knew Christ, like the recruit in the ammonia locker who in distress cried out, “Oh Mom! Why did I ever join?”
Bootcamp discipline made this boy, like the rest of the recruits grow up and become men who would lay down their own lives for each other. Few Christians in this hour appreciate Christ’s words concerning servanthood: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:12-13).
Many like Peter, will deny knowing Christ, or become like Judas and betray Christians to save their own skin. Christ’s words about the end-of-the-age are coming to pass left and right. The soon to come increased level of persecution will be just as Christ warned: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:9-14).
But the one who embraces the discipline of the Lord now will be able to endure to the end and not fall away!
Become part of a fellowship or ministry that knows what it means to embrace the discipline of the Lord, sharing sound doctrine to equip and built-up Christians for ministry and life. You may have to look hard to find such, seek the Lord for direction and he will faithfully lead.

The Real Question, Are You Immunized in Christ?by Charles Pretlow January 20, 2022
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven… And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:10-11; 25-28).
Fear and Foreboding—Driving Panic, Paranoia and Despotic Control
If you don’t think the world and America is on the threshold of the Great Tribulation, then you are ignorant of Christ’s warning words found in Scripture or you are stubbornly ignoring all the signs Christ laid out.
The world, Americans and most Christians are held spellbound by the love of this life, unwilling to realize the end is now upon us. Because of the gradual increases in all the end-time signs Christ laid out in Scripture, few realize these end-time troubles will just get worse. What is interesting about Christ’s end-time words is His prediction of how this current spellbound condition would be just like the days of Noah:
“For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man” (Matthew 24:37-39).
With all these signs coming to pass, there should be an awakening to what Christ taught about how to become ready to stand before Him when he appears. Instead, there is a desire to restore normalcy and save America. This incessant desire continues to keep most Christians and God’s lost sheep in false hope, spinning their wheels trying to figure out how to survive and fight these troubles.
In Noah’s day it was a party-hardy attitude right up until the rains fell and Noah entered the ark. Today, entertainment, luxury living, good food, vacations, perverse sexual passions, marriage and relationship obsessions, job promotions, a new car, cell phones, gaming, social media, year-round spring break debauchery, and much more add up to a universal cultural drunken stupor.
This spellbound condition includes most of Christianity, where Evangelical, Charismatic, and Pentecostal Christians maintain a rich and prosperous life on Earth, in want of nothing. This false sense of security is beginning to crumble with this pandemic and rising persecution. Few realize they have a lukewarm relationship with Christ and are at risk of being spewed from Christ’s mouth.
There is a movement among Christians to prepare for the worst and try to ride out the storm by prepping. My Christian dentist believes America won’t get to back to normal without an armed insurrection and revolution to restore the constitution. His quote, “We won’t get back to normal unless there is a blood bath.”
As these end-time challenges mount up, there is also an exodus from Church attendance, as many lukewarm believers are losing interest in following Christ. Blame it on COVID as the main issue, however, the real issue is a lukewarm relationship with Christ filled with apathy.
Entertaining worship, easy going sermonettes, counterfeit spiritual manifestations (false signs and wonders), along with social good works are symptoms of a people of God in love with this life and the pleasures of this world—asleep at the helm of their life as the end of this age roars to its finale.
Most believers today are driven by carnal energy, and many have become burned out from following Christ from afar. This condition instills loss of interest in the church scene, church work, and lack of divine energy for ministry.
Is this Killer Pestilence Going to Awaken God’s People?
And now, as this pandemic continues, with increased persecution and church attendance falling, panic is befalling Christian leadership where the call for revival and awakening is a constant call to arms—unfortunately this call to restore America as a Christian nation is too little too late!
Now, with the COVID pandemic added to the mix of end-time signs, fear is beginning to grip many. Fear and trepidation will continue to expand amongst the populace as well as the unprepared Christian as these pre–Great Tribulation indicators increase.
Conspiracy theories are running rapid, many are true, however, many are created from fear mongers who don’t properly comprehend Christ warnings and explanation on how the end will unfold. Even worse, few pay attention to Christ’s words on how to escape all that is now starting to come upon the world. Some Christians are realizing that there is no place to escape and hide just as Christ warned: “For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth” (Luke 21:35).
On the other hand, many good-hearted Christians who follow Christ from afar are trying to hold back the end-time tide of trouble—a useless waste of time, of resources, and effort. Other Christians have become awakened and realize that all these things are end-time signs, with anticipation that the coming antichrist rule is just around the corner. In paranoia, many panic imagining the activation of the mark of the beast in all manner of ways. Most are ignorant of Christ words on the matter, which again reflects a lukewarm relationship with Christ.
In a recent ministry publication, we wrote: “The coming judgments upon America will make the current administration look foolish because of its inability to give direction or solve the many problems, disasters, and perplexing troubles that are about to befall America and the world. This coming worldwide political chaos and impotency will create a leadership vacuum making way for the antichrist rule.” See the full publication What Did Christ Say About Our Troubling Times?
Indeed, the Biden-Harris administration is a distressing farce and is falling apart. This political debacle is just another sign Christ pointed out to watch for – “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves” (Luke 21:25).
Christ warned that in the last days of this age, especially during the Great Tribulation period all manner of deception would come upon the world: “For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand” (Mark 13:22-23).
We are instructed beforehand to be on guard and not be deceived or become bogged down by the cares of this life and luxury living that creates a spell binding condition that so many now suffer: “But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36).
When we cling to the love of this life on Earth, worry and fume over American culture and institutions deteriorating, our attention to Christ’s words and the leadership of the Holy Spirit becomes compromised. Believers in this condition can easily fail to react or in many cases overreact by the many deceptions and troubles. Many will crumble in faith as these world, national, and personal challenges increase.
All the chaos and confusion, false alarms, opinions, mark of the beast theories, false teachings, and political promises are Satan’s smoke screen to deceive, if possible, the true and readied Christian. All this confusion, end-time noise and false teachings are holding most of God’s people in apathy or in panic.
A Compromised Relationship with Christ
Most Christians have a compromised relationship with Christ and don’t realize their condition. As these last days troubles increase, many will fall away or become a victim of a calamity or die prematurely by the pandemic or other medical issues. Many will be assassinated by the powers of darkness as they take on spiritual battles in the flesh.
Few Christians embrace the sanctification process and the discipline of the Lord that facilitates cleansing and healing within. Like Peter, many are doubleminded (have multiple personalities) and are at risk of being sifted by Satan. Many will experience their weak faith in Christ fail because they avoided the discipline of the Lord, recoiling and hiding from fiery trials. “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:2-4).
Having a compromised relationship with Christ puts such a believer at greater risk than that of a true servant of Christ. Working out one’s salvation humbly, in fear and trembling is virtually unheard of from most pulpits. That is why few obtain the fulness of Christ in order to walk in the full armor of God.
The Deadly Reality of COVID
Christ warned of pestilences (pandemics) as well as all the other troubles that would create fear and foreboding. The world governments are in distress as to how to stop this pandemic that is real and deadly, as they ignorantly make knee jerk decisions, making overreaching mandates that limits individual freedoms.
These troubles are part of Satan’s strategy to shepherd the masses towards a one world order leading into the antichrist rule, with the left leaning politicians, along with government appointed science gurus, tech companies, and medical experts ignorantly acting as Satan’s pawns.
This virus is potent and deadly and seems to continue on and on. Many, despite being vaccinated have come down with the virus. However, most of the vaccinated have fared better in not getting the virus or having milder symptoms. The current trend for the unvaccinated is worst symptoms that often requires hospitalization. Politicization of COVID increases by false overstated cases and the suppression of deaths related to the COVID vaccines. The true statistics are buried in various studies suppressed by the media and politized science. This pandemic is a distressing and perplexing problem playing out exactly as Christ predicted as part of the end-of-this-age nightmarish troubles.
Christian leaders are all over the board with recommendations and opinions about these troubles and the pandemic. Few warn as they should concerning this dark hour.
I’m thinking of R. Loren Sandford, how he was warned that we are in the last days, heading towards the Great Tribulation. He refused to give up his Amillennialists position that the Church will usher in the second coming of Christ. Sandford downplayed the rising persecution, unparalleled evil rising in society, and the many end-time signs Christ forewarned would come. Worse, Loren ignored the potency of the pandemic and viewed vaccines as not necessary. Unfortunately, in September 2021, Pastor R. Loren Sandford, died in the hospital due to complications from COVID-19.
This is my counsel: The pandemic is real, and Christ made it clear that this and other end-time troubles will be terrifying and deadly, especially for the unprepared. It is up to each individual believer to hear from the Holy Spirit for themselves as to what they should do – to vax or not to vax and so forth.
This vaccine is not the mark of beast. It is risky to take but does help many. If you are led to not become vaccinated, you better know if you are immune in Christ, because this disease is deadly. Unfortunately, most believers have compromised relationship with Christ and have a hard time hearing from Christ and being led by the Holy Spirit. The only way forward is to follow Christ words on how to escape all that is now upon us and increasing.
The scary trend towards the mark of the beast is revealed with Sweden’s vaccination passport requirements. At the beginning of December, Sweden enacted new rules requiring individuals to have a passport at all events with more than 100 people. Following that announcement, a number of people got microchips inserted under their skin increased dramatically. This microchip holds vaccination information and be scanned. Around 6,000 people in Sweden have so far had a chip inserted in their hands.
Slowly the true mark of the beast science and technology is becoming a global tool to be enforced by the second beast of Revelation.
How Do We Escape All These Troubles and Deadly Threats?
Jesus explained how the end of this age would unfold in the Gospels, but few rightly understand Christ words in order to become ready to endure and escape all these terrible things. “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36).
What kind of strength do we need to pray for that will allow us to escape these things and stand before Christ and be rescued by His angels when He appears?
It is a strength of faith in Christ, in his protection, in his leadership, in his provision, in his power, his healing grace and his mercy!
You can have some of Christ or all of Christ. Having just some of Christ in the end may not be enough.
The call and mission for true leadership is to equip believers in their care to obtain true Christlike character and grow up into Christ: “Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ… Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ” (Ephesians 4:13, 15).
This strong relationship with Christ (where he is the head and he is our everything) is obtained by developing true Christlike character, molded, and etched by the hand of God within the heart, mind, and spirit of the sincere Christian. Far too many sincere Christians are driven by carnal energy with mixed motives of heart, enamored with the cares of this life and the love of this world. They follow Christ’s name, but do not really know Christ to rightly hear His voice and obey the leadership of the Holy Spirit with pure motives of heart.
Peter followed Christ in a shallow faith and was convinced that he could follow Christ into prison and unto death. In gross denial of his inner non-Christlike character, (even after Christ confronted him with the truth of his weak inner condition), Peter continued on arrogantly. (Peter’s weak carnal condition is a depiction of what most Evangelical, Charismatic, and Pentecostal Christians suffer today. God’s people, especially in America, hear but do not hear, see but do not see.)
Jesus allowed the devil to sift Peter to the point of brokenness. Not only Peter, but the rest of the disciples were thrown into fear and terror, hiding from the Temple leadership and their guards. When Peter initially realized Christ was correct in calling him out as a coward (to the point of denying even knowing Christ), Peter’s denial was finally broken, but found himself full of self-pity and bitterness.
After Christ’s resurrection, the Lord continued to confront Peter on his inner condition and how he loved the things of this life and his own life much more than he loved Jesus.
Breaking Denial and Racing Towards the Midnight Cry Awakening
Jesus is using the COVID pandemic and the ever-increasing end-time troubles to break denial and awaken His Church. Personal trials, sickness, premature death, false prophet’s and confusing end-time false teachings, false alarmists and conspiracy fear-mongers, loss of freedoms from government overreach, financial pressures and so forth are going to increase. These troubles will sift most believers and expose how unprepared they are and how weak their faith is.
Sanctification, Fiery Trials (Discipline of the Lord), and a Life of Prayer: The sincere yet carnal Christian is being forced to wake up to the reality that the end-of-this-age is upon us. In waking up, the true believer must develop a desire to be changed within the inner being, to become Christlike and filled with the fulness of Christ. A profound realization that the end is upon us just as Christ explained: “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near” (Luke 21:28).
Those who are awaken will learn to develop a life of prayer, seeking to be transformed within the inmost self to be Christlike. These believers will renounce false teachings and realize they have been taught to mimic Christlike behavior by developing religious feelings and self-righteous attitudes. Most have learned to ignore and even suppress the truth about their ugly old nature that still runs the show from behind the scenes in daily life. They will begin to see their inner true motives exposed for what they are; selfish, boastful, demanding, full of fear, insecurity, angry outbursts, lusts, and religious self-righteous hypocrisy.
Few believers in this hour embrace the discipline of the Lord, learning to humbly work out their own salvation in fear and trembling, to become sanctified by the Holy Spirit by embracing the truth about the old self (old nature): “Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:17-24).
The old self with its carnal ungodly thoughts and feelings that drive unwanted behavior must no longer be suppressed, but rather seriously understood as poison and dangerous. Scripture states: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds” (Jeremiah 17:9-10).
The initial born-again experience as well as the so-called baptism of the Holy Spirit does not remove the reality of the old nature. Depending on the background of each individual believer, the heart, personal spirit, the mind, and unconscious mind must become sanctified. (Cleansed, healed and transformed.) The sincere Christian must take ownership of this unsanctified condition and work with the Holy Spirit to become cleansed and transformed. As the Apostle Paul put it; this is our labor, to grow up into salvation by working out our salvation: “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:12-13).
The old self must become crucified (made dead), where each imbedded carnal passion, attitude, and belief (conscious or hidden) is brought to the light. The unconscious (spirit of the mind) and secret heart must no longer be suppressed and ignored, but rather paid attention to—so as to be transformed by putting off the old nature and having the new-self put in its place. We must learn to become transformed on the inside, by the hand of God, not by religious dos and don’ts and Christian personality development. To accomplish this, we must take off the blinders and see our inner selves as God sees us, (without condemnation, justifying, minimizing, or rationalizing) then when brought to the light, die to that part of our old nature, and become transformed. This sanctifying process requires obedience of faith and trust in God’s grace and transforming power.
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
“Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1).
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you” (James 4:7-10).
By following the above New Testament principles, and working with the Holy Spirit, the sincere believer will develop a true relationship with Christ, gaining strength of faith in Him to escape all the terrible things that are now being unleashed upon the world.
Awakened Believers – Putting End-Time Cart Before the Horse by Charles Pretlow December 14, 2021
Many Christians and even non-believers have awakened to the reality that the end is coming rapidly upon us. In this year-end video message, we address Christ’s words about the end-time troubles becoming a trap for many.
Over the years there have been preppers (people preparing for worldwide trouble), but now many are fearful and preparing to ride out the storm in earnest. Unfortunately, so few Christians embrace Christ words and directives on how to prepare to escape these end-of-this-age troubles.
This is our last message for the year and is meant to awaken, strengthen, and encourage those have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to God’s people.
The Lord has provided a hiding place, and this message expounds on how to escape all these things that have now started to come upon us and to stand before Christ when he appears. But many who think they are ready will be left behind.
A Baptism of Fire by End-Time Persecution by Charles Pretlow November 10, 2021
“John answered them all, saying, ‘I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.’” (Luke 3:16-17).
For years the American lukewarm church refused to embrace the message of the cross through the discipline of the Lord. Except for a remnant, God’s people have basked in prosperity and sat comfortably in their favorite church listening to their favorite superlative preacher. Those days are over.
Since 9/11, over these last twenty years the American culture has experienced an upheaval through perplexing troubles that have increased worldwide, which did very little to wake up God’s people. Soon, the last days persecution that has now begun will ramp up in earnest and be used by Christ to awaken Christians and baptize His true followers in fire, fire that purifies and matures.
John the Baptist explained that when Christ comes, he will baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Those first three years walking with Christ set the stage for his disciples to be baptized with power. But first Christ baptized his disciples with the fires of persecution. Christ’s arrest and passion forced the disciples’ hidden carnal motives to come to a boil and surface; they fell asleep in prayer at the darkest hour, denied the Lord, and they all fled for their lives hiding in terror.
After the resurrection and Christ’s ascension, the fear of men, the love of this life, their gullibility, and their secret selfish motives were crucified, burned up through Christ’s baptism of fire (at least for the most part). Then, through the years after the day of Pentecost, the disciples and the fellowship of the saints walked in genuine power of the Holy Spirit winning favor with all the people.
However, the contentment for Christians in Jerusalem began to erode and finally came to an end with massive persecution against all Christians, driving them away from Jerusalem and out into the world. This helped Christianity spread to the Gentile nations, and it also saved Christians in Jerusalem from Christ’s prophesy of judgment that finally came upon the Jews, with the burning of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple.
Again, as the end-of-this-age roars upon America and the world, Christians are about to suffer intense persecution. This is allowed by God to awaken his people; to expose and to separate the false, to strengthen the faith of the true saint, and to purify the bride of Christ to be able to stand at his appearance. To cause God’s people to come out from the last days Babylonian Empire.
No Christian will be exempt from the coming baptism of fire through trials and persecution. Those who have already embraced the discipline of the Lord will be challenged, but will navigate with ease, trusting the Lord all the way to the end.
Those who played church, embraced the “easy road gospel” and stayed in love with things of this world and lived for the cares of this life will find that their faith in Christ was a sham. Soon, many will fall away and sell out the true believer in the coming fires of persecution.
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:9-13).
Many who have followed this ministry and its prophetic warnings have tasted the discipline of the Lord through the years and witnessed the increased troubles falling upon Christians in America as predicted. Some have experienced a sample of Christ’s baptism of fire, where denial was broken, forcing the need to learn how to put off the old nature and crucify the works of the flesh.
Christ’s Winnowing Fork is in His hands and His Unquenchable Fire is Lit
Now comes the next wave of Christ’s last days baptism of fire. For the comfy lukewarm believers who follow Christ in name only, those who avoid God’s discipline (that develops a true relationship with Christ) will soon have the shock of their life.
There is a Foursquare Church in our community that just went through a facility revamp. On their sign by the road, they announced that they are open again with the following invitation:
Surround Sound, Light Show, and Fog—Come Join the Fun
This is not unique, but rather a common trend that most Evangelical, Charismatic and Pentecostal fellowships embrace. Entertain congregants to maintain interest and keep funds and donations rolling in.
In reality, there is an invisible sign for this fellowship and for most churches across this nation, an epitaph written by the hand of God:
Where is the Glory of God?
Indeed, the glory of God has departed from the Church of America and has been replaced by entertaining worship and superlative speakers who are experts at storytelling and watered-down sermonettes. The Church of America is grown lukewarm, making followers of Christ’s name, not disciples of Christ. American Christians are in love with this age, unable to walk with Christ reflecting his glory.
A few months ago, a Christian neighbor told me how much he enjoyed listening to Pastor John MacArthur and was excited how MacArthur’s ministry won a lawsuit against California for the tyrannical lockdowns enforced by Governor Newsom.
He asked me if I ever listened to MacArthur, I said yes and added bluntly and boldly:
“I have no use for pastors who do not warn God’s people to get ready for what has already started—the end-of-this-age persecution and the soon to come Great Tribulation.” I added, “Spieling half-truths is more toxic to God’s people than blatant lies.”
His response was silence, and then he changed the subject.
I have taken the same stand that the Apostle Paul took: “And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds” (2 Corinthians 11:12-15).
Trouble for Unequally Yoked Relationships
The sincere child of God who recognizes the hour and wants to walk in obedience, who is in a relationship with a lukewarm Christian, a hypocrite, or an unbeliever, will soon be at risk of suffering from tumultuous battles. These troubles will start out to be seemingly insignificant disagreements but will quickly turn to stress and spiritual oppression. Betrayal and just plain malice will become a plague for the unequally yoke Christian in marriage, with extended family members, and overly familiar worldly friends. This coming relationship “heat up” will drive the immature Christian to embrace the lordship of Christ or fall away.
The Lord’s baptism of fire that “heats up” wrong relationship will pull God’s people away from destructive and carnal relationships that undermine the faith of weak Christians and betray the naïve believer. Many sincere Christians will suffer persecution by loved ones who have turned to hating those who have true faith. “Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. But just as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now” (Galatians 4:28-29).
Just as Christ’s prophesy of the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, and captivity for the Jewish nation, which eventually came to pass, so to, Christ’s end-time prophesy is looming over America and will soon take place, “And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.”
Unfortunately, through the years many who hear these warnings ignored them. Our prayer is that God’s people wake up and learn how to become ready the right way—right away!
Learning to Put off the Old Nature
What will you do in a difficult situation and your old nature pops up causing you to make a wrong decision or say or do something you can’t take back?
“Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:22-24).
True ministries that God is preparing to raise up will teach practical theology that equips and prepares. The hour of entertaining pew warmers by cowardly hirelings is long gone. Christ’s baptism of fire will from now on be the true Christian’s theme and marching orders. Unfortunately, few Christians know how to embrace God’s discipline and work with the Lord to be renewed in the spirit of one’s mind. (Spirit of the mind: hidden unconscious issues of the old self—unbelief, bitter jealousy, selfish ambition, defilements, wounds, and old carnal personalities.)
Remember, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:2-4).
Unfortunately, most Christians in trial, complain, become depressed, or flop around like fish out of water in a state of panic. What will you do when Christ’s baptism of fire catches up with you?
A Living Sacrifice
The Apostle Paul wrote: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1-2).
In 1976, as a young pastor I struggled with putting off the old nature. Like so many Christians, for some time I attempted to suppress the flesh. Finally, I gave God permission to do what ever it takes to change me on the inside and make me into the person he called me to be. I finished that covenant prayer by telling the Lord to not stop, even if I changed my mind and wanted out of the deal.
Within two months of that prayer, my life was turned upside down and redirected toward being disciplined through trials and challenges. All to discover God’s perfect will for my life. Over those 45 years since, God’s discipline, grace and mercy has and still works in completing his work within my life. Just as the Apostle Paul wrote, “That he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).
Over the years of ministry in various settings and different meetings with other pastors, leaders, and Christian workers, I offered the same challenge. Invariably, the reaction by almost everyone that heard this challenge responded in silence with terrified looks.
One particular Pastor came to me asking for counsel over some carnal issues that he could not overcome. I explained to him that he had wounds and defilements interwoven within his old nature that has not yet been crucified and gave him the same challenge as the Apostle Paul gives us in Romans 12:1-2—to prayerfully give God permission to do what ever it takes to transform him.
The look on his face was sheer terror as he said, “I can’t do that.”
I asked, “Why?”
He replied, “I am afraid God will take one of my children.”
I responded, “Do you realize the unbelief you have in your heart towards God?”
In trying to encourage him more in counsel, he still could not give his life over to God, to trust himself and his family to a faithful creator. In the end his carnal issues led him into infidelity, causing him to leave the ministry.
There is Still Time
As the end of this age draws near, there is still time to submit to the discipline of the Lord that facilitates obtaining of the grace of God and the transformation within the secret heart and spirit of the mind (unconscious mind). Thus, allowing us to walk in the fulness of Christ. Now is the time to become involved with a true fellowship that expounds on Scripture, teaching sound doctrine that equips the saints for the work of ministry and readies them to stand at Christ’s appearance.
Soon, many Christians will wake up to the reality that Christ’s return is at the very gates, and find they are not ready to endure to the end. They run the risk of being locked out of eternity.
In the coming days, Christ’s baptism of fire along with his winnowing fork will succeed in perfecting, transforming, and completing the work you and I have given him, to transform us on the inside to become Christlike. That is if we really embrace his baptism of fire.
The little time we have left is ticking away rapidly.
Waking Up to Persecution without Preparation by Charles Pretlow October 9, 2021
In 2004 we published our first book, warning of the coming end-of-this-age persecution and the other troubling signs that Christ warned to watch for.
Then in 2015 we published a 3rd edition, making sure the original predictions and warnings remain as they were originally written. This latest edition is entitled The Horsemen Cometh Racing towards the midnight cry.
Please note part two is titled, How to Stand and Endure to the End, with the following chapter titles:
Chapter 6: Refiner’s Fire and Fuller’s Soap, Chapter 7: Purity That Shines In The Darkness, Chapter 8: Spiritual Warfare That Is Effective, Chapter 9: Standing in the Gap, Chapter 10: Winning The War, Answering The Question, “What should I do?”
Waking Up to Christian Persecution in America
Just a few Christians recognize God’s handwriting on the wall and understand what it means. Unfortunately, of that remnant, only a small number are ready to endure to the end of this persecution madness that has now started.
Others also warned. Unfortunately, these warnings about the end-of-this-age troubles that are now upon us were, for the most part “cancelled” by Christian leadership, Christian media, and Christian Publishers. When given to most local pastors, this book and other such warnings were shelved, ignored, or labeled as being of the devil.
And now the Christian voice in politics, morality, and religious freedom are starting to be completely “cancelled” across America by the Democrats. (Rejecting God’s warnings in Scripture is the same as committing spiritual suicide that will lead to destruction. This is the case for most Christians in leadership today.)
This is the beginning of the last days persecution that Christ said would come upon God’s people: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.
Warnings are too little, too late!
A slight “awakening trickle” has begun by some high-profile leaders and so-called prophets. They are warning in hindsight, and now sounding the alarm. But it’s too little too late!
A prime example is Johnathan Kahn. In his latest message he confronts recent and current leaders of our government, pointing out the parallels between Ahab and Jezebel’s reign of evil in Israel with recent elected American leadership. He starts with the Clintons then the Obama administration, discusses the slow down under Trump and ends the comparison with the election of Biden.
Kahn states that these major changes taking place in America’s politics and culture is a literal pattern of events lifted right out of the Old Testament accounts of how Baal worship overtook all of Israel. (Indeed, Kahn’s studies and research is amazingly correct, and these patterns are beyond coincidence.)
Kahn calls this Biblical replication a mystery and connects how the election of Trump was a temporary slowdown before severe judgment comes upon America—like the Old Testament account of Jehu confronting Baal worship in Israel, and temporarily slowing down the abominations, in the hope of circumventing judgement.
And now, with the election of Biden, the Washington DC Capital building is no longer the people’s building, but has literally become a temple for Baal worship. Kahn says all this signifies the start of severe persecution. View this message by Johnathan here.
Christians Enlisted to Fight a Losing Battle.
Kahn laments that this persecution which has now started is a dire warning and calls for Christians to become like Elijah. He, like most others in leadership who are waking up to the increased persecution in America are foolishly calling on Christians to stand against the powers of darkness now, before America is totally engulfed in darkness.
Not once during Kahn’s so-called prophetic message was Christ mentioned, or did he bring to light Christ’s warning words concerning the end-of-this-age persecution and troubles. NOT ONCE!
Nor did he instruct his listeners on how to prepare and endure even more persecution that is soon to come, expounding on Christ’s prophetic words “But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”
Band Wagon—Johnny Come Lately Prophets
I refer to Johnathan Kahn and others like him as Johnny Come Lately prophets, meaning: A Johnny-come-lately is someone who arrives late to the cause. A novice or a newcomer, especially one who tries to assert influence or control without having any experience or knowledge concerning the task at hand.
Most in Christian leadership today continue to point their condemning finger at the American culture gone wicked. They ignore Christ warnings about false prophets and false teachers causing many to be led astray.
Unfortunately, God’s people today prefer lies and half-truths, and donate vigorously to keep the false and carnal leader in business, just as the Apostle warned: “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
In Johnathan Kahn’s message, he fails to expound on how the priesthood and most of the prophets of God bowed down to Baal under Ahab and Jezebel’s evil reign. His parallel analysis should have included how American Christian leadership, for the most part, sold themselves to the worship of popularity, money, comfort, and the love of this world.
Ahab was rebellious and a weak mama’s boy who relied on his wife, Jezebel to do his dirty work. Jezebel had free reign to bring in her cultural idols and violently purged the prophets of God from Israel. She “cancelled” the worship of God and brought to the Temple of God the worship of Baal and Asherah.
By “cancelled” I mean Jezebel had the true prophets of God killed, converted to Baal worship, or chased into hiding. The lukewarm Temple priests flipped and mixed the practice of Baal worship within God’s temple. All the people of Israel were confused, bewildered, and forced to follow Jezebel’s false prophets and the cowardly priest now in control of the Temple. Many went along with Baal worship thinking maybe Baal is God.
Yes, Elijah took on Ahab and Jezebel, but first at MT Carmel he challenged the whole populace of Israel to choose between worshipping and serving God or to continue to follow Baal and embrace Jezebel’s false prophets. “And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word” (1 Kings 18:21).
Read the account in 1 Kings 18 on how Elijah stood up to 450 false prophets of Baal challenging them to build an altar to Baal, and how he would also build an altar to God, and then put a sacrifice on each altar and see which is consumed by fire. Whichever altar spontaneously burst into flames, that altar represents the true God.
The false prophets called on Baal from morning till noon chanting and praying, while Elijah taunted them, “And at noon Elijah mocked them, saying, “Cry aloud, for he is a god. Either he is musing, or he is relieving himself, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened” (1 Kings 18:27).
Then the prophets of Baal began to cry out and cut themselves until blood gushed out upon them. Then Elijah called all the people of Israel to come close to him as he erected the altar to God. He dug a trench around this altar, put the wood and offering upon the altar, then had men take four jars of water and had them douse the altar three times until the altar was soaked and the trench was filled with water.
Then Elijah prayed, and this is what happened next: “Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, ‘The LORD, he is God; the LORD, he is God.’ And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape.” And they seized them. And Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon and slaughtered them there” (1 Kings 18:38-40).
Malachi’s Prophesy about Elijah Coming is Replicated
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction” (Malachi 4:5-6).
This prophesy in Malachi came to pass the first time through John the Baptist: “For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John, and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come. He who has ears to hear, let him hear” (Matthew 11:13-15).
Jonathan Kahn’s call for God’s people to become like Elijah is pure folly! There will be a replication of Malachi’s prophesy where Elijah like ministries will arise. Not to take on the powers of darkness and restore America, but rather to break the spell of false teachings and false prophets keeping God’s people sound asleep.
Kahn, like so many Johnny Come Lately prophets and teachers that are now calling for God’s people to become like Elijah—to raise their voices, pray, and oppose the dark forces ruling America—have completely missed what God is about to do through the coming persecution.
Christians raising their voices against this growing wicked culture and evil politics will be like children throwing gasoline on fire to put it out! The persecution will become even more enflamed, cruel, and relentless.
This is the end-of-this-age persecution Christ warned of and it will not stop until the body of Christ (true Christians) are shaken loose from the love of this age, cleansed, purified, and grow up into salvation, able to stand before Christ when he appears.
With the coming purification of God’s people, a great falling away is going to hit Evangelical, Charismatic, and Pentecostal Christianity like a wrecking ball tearing down a condemned building.
The Slaughter of the False Christian Prophets and the Deceiving Leader
Soon, a remnant of sold-out servant leaders will emerge, walking in an Elijah-like authority exposing and tearing down the false prophet and false teacher that helped make God’s people spellbound and confused concerning the end-time troubles now upon us.
Finally, God’s people will no longer vacillate or limp between two opinions. Between the false scenario, where Christ will facilitate a great awakening through his church, or the truth that the end is here, and his return is at the very gates. (Multitudes, multitudes, will soon be in the valley of decision.)
The increased persecution and end-time judgments will create an opening for the gospel (good news) of the coming kingdom to be proclaimed throughout the world. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
All the confusing false teachings concerning the end will become clear. Christians will finally hear the truth about the end-of-this-age sequencing and then decide. Decide to become ready to endure God’s vetting and purification of his church by enduring over-the-top persecution. Or decide to passively play church and pretend all is well.
They will hear the truth of Christ’s soon second coming, and how to survive the Great Tribulation, then the final harvest (end-time awakening), the rapture, and finally the wrath of God, then Christ’s physical return. Remember the parable of the Ten Virgins, five were not ready and went out into the world scrounging for sustenance. In the end these on fire Christians were locked out of eternity.
Like the false prophets opposing Elijah, crying, and cutting themselves; those in leadership today who ignore Christ words are running out of explanations on why their pleasant prophesies are not coming to pass. Those who continue to deceive God’s people will be cut off.
Some will die prematurely because they rejected the truth, others will change their tune and pretend they knew all along how the end would play out. Some may repent, while others will try to subvert the coming true and final awakening to make a name for themselves, deceiving naïve believers to follow them.
Are you pressing God for direction and submitting to His hand of discipline to help prepare you for the next round of judgments and increased persecution and more loss of religious freedom? Are you embracing all that Christ taught or cherry picking your favorite words of Christ and listening to ear tickling preachers and carnal worship that gets deceived Christians high on their spirit.
Or, like many have you thrown in the towel, quit church and figure on escaping somehow on your own by storing up essentials and getting ready to flee to the hills?
God is calling his people to come away from the love of Revelation’s Babylon, (speaking of America and much of the wester countries). “Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities” (Revelation 18:4-5).
He is not calling his people to hide and give up true fellowship. We must partner with likeminded Christians and become ready to be used of him in the coming final harvest.
We all need to heed Christ’s words about the end-of-this-age darkness: “But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36).
New Book ReleaseExtraterrestrial Deception by Charles Pretlow
Read the following excerpt from the book’s introduction:
This new book’s arrival is perfect timing, coinciding with the government’s records declassification of UFO encounters.
The world, and especially Americans have become subtly intrigued by the possibility of life from other galaxies visiting Earth, and maybe soon making formal contact.
With a steady diet of secret conspiracy theories, testimonials of eyewitness encounters, Navy pilots finally telling of their encounters — and now the government being forced to become more transparent — everyone wants the truth!
Could this be part of the Bible’s warning of Satan’s end-time grand deception?
Are these encounters leading to appearance of the second beast of the book of Revelation, who enforces the antichrist rule by making fire come down from heaven?
Read the following excerpt from the book’s introduction::
Over the centuries and especially over the last 75 years many have researched, pondered, speculated, guessed, and written who the antichrist might be, where he originates, and how he comes into power.
The Apostle John, in his vision of the end-times as recorded in Revelation, describes the antichrist as a beast rising from the sea. This is the first of two beasts that John saw in his end-time vision.
We know from Scripture that the first beast is the antichrist. The Bible describes him as the man of lawlessness and the son of destruction who comes into worldwide recognition when chaos and lawlessness become widespread.
The antichrist will declare himself to be God before the world, taking the seat as God in the Jewish Third Temple . Christ called this act of the antichrist the: “Abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place” (Matthew 24:15).
Interestingly, the antichrist declares himself to be God, but is only exercising Satan’s (the dragon) power and authority. “The whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?” (Revelation 13:3-4).
Also, in John’s vision there is a second beast rising from the earth. This beast has all the powers of the antichrist (the first beast) and demonstrates those powers to make “the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed” (Revelation 13:12).
What is more terrifying, this second beast: “Performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived” (Revelation 13:13-14).
We know the first beast is a human, and that the second beast speaks like a dragon (satanic-like in nature). Scripture does not inform us where the second beast comes from or if it is human. However, it is satanic in nature.
John also saw in his vision how the antichrist, Satan, and the second beast projected demonic spirits that performed signs to enlist all the leaders of the world to prepare to do battle against God’s last days army. In this portion of Revelation, the Apostle John describes the second beast as a false prophet: “And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. (Revelation 16:13-14).
Why does Satan employ the second beast to boaster the antichrist’s new world order? How does the second beast cause fire to come down to earth in front people? What kind of science is used by the second beast to deceive the masses into taking its mark, (666)?
Most important, what kind of being does the second beast appear as, in that the whole world gives heed, causing the people of earth to fall in line and worship the antichrist?
These questions and more will be addressed in this short exposé of Satan’s end-time scheme to convince the world to follow and worship the antichrist.
We will uncover how Satan has progressively programmed the masses and many Christians to accept the second beast as a powerful being that knows all, a creature to be feared, and a stern enforcer of the antichrist’s new world order.

Chaos Opening the way for the Only Good NewsBy Charles Pretlow 03/26/2021
“Then he said to them, ‘Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near’” (Luke 21:10-11; 25-28).
Just a Christ predicted, the end of this age is unfolding in pure chaos, full of trouble, persecution against Christians and Jews, racial conflicts, pandemics, unfixable national troubles, as well as great earthquakes and destructive hurricanes.
The Biden and Harris administration, with its mad dash to socialism and despotic-chaotic control of the populous, has put America on a destructive course, like a freight train running wide open with no breaks.
Yet, most Christians are aloof and unprepared for lies next. Even now, only a few believers really grasp the seriousness of Christ’s warnings.
But as these signs increase more believers and non-believers alike are becoming receptive to the truth. It is time to proclaim the only good news, and how to prepare to endure to Christ appears.
That is why we paid over a $1,000 to publish a special article in one of o18ur local newspapers. This article takes up over a page and pulls no-punches. It is slated for print on Friday April 2nd, on Good Friday. Check the article out here: What did Christ say about our troubling times?
