Ecumenical Deceit

Rally round Christ’s Name and Just Go with It

Over the last forty years there has been a subtle howbeit faint ecumenical movement swirling in some Protestant denominations. Through those years, there have been voices amongst evangelicals and charismatics in unison with some Catholic Bishops and clergy for some kind of reconciliation.

Suddenly, with the installment of the new Pope, this once subtle push has become a strong message pressed by several top evangelicals and select Catholic leaders. No longer is ecumenicalism a radical and heretical concept, but a powerful new movement that is about to swallow up millions of ignorant Protestant believers into the harlot church spoke of in the book of Revelation.

This harlot church is described in Scripture as a great prostitute who is seated on many waters. (See Revelation 17:1-2.)  This great harlot church that is now forming is a conglomeration of liberal and wayward evangelic Protestant denominations joined with the Roman Catholic denomination with the intent to influence the world politically, economically, and socially.

A Global Christian Super-Church

It was in 1974 that I first heard about a coming ecumenical deceit. David Wilkerson wrote in his book The Vision of a coming super powerful Catholic and Protestant unification that would wield great influence upon the minds and hearts of a multitude of deceived believers.

Wilkerson wrote:

“I see the formation of a super world church consisting of a union between liberal ecumenical Protestants and the Roman Catholic church, joining politically hand in hand, creating one of the most powerful religious forces on earth.

This super world church will be spiritual in name only, freely using the name of Jesus Christ, but will in fact, be antichrist and political in many of its activities. This powerful church union will be deeply involved in social action, tremendous charity programs, and ministries of compassion. Its leaders will make sweeping statements about meeting human need by sending out a call for renewed social action, political intervention, and a greater voice in world affairs.” (The Vision, David Wilkerson, Pyramid Communications NY, NY Page 76).

This ecumenical goal is to unify protestant denominations with Catholics for purpose of mission. Part of that mission is to usher in peace and prosperity by converting most of the world to Christ and facilitating harmony between Protestants and Catholics as well as between all other world religions.

Wilkerson continued describing this future super church as being a haunt for ambitious professionals who will take control of this super church and attempt to suppress any voice of opposition.  Ministries and individuals speaking out the truth of Christ and his Gospel will suffer persecution as these professional thugs malign and ridicule anyone who dare stand and preach an uncompromised Gospel.

Wilkerson’s Vision Coming to Pass

The Super Church Forming Right before Our Eyes

Set aside some time to listen to David Wilkerson’s 1973 vision. He delivered a 52-minute message about these coming events at a conference later in that year. The Vision by David Wilkerson

Even though it has been some forty years since David gave this prophetic vision, now most aspects of this vision are coming to pass rapidly. Many back in 1973, and most through the years since rejected this warning. Moreover, since it has taken nearly four decades to “gel” into reality, few today see how accurate this warning was and how needful it is to become ready.

Wilkerson sounded the alarm because what he saw was terrifying and he urgently encouraged others to prepare. Reeling from what he saw, his interpretation was that we might have a few “fat flourishing” years to get ready. However, years rolled by having only pieces of the vision come to pass, but now all aspects of the vision are now in play. You may ask why it has taken so long for what Wilkerson saw to crystallize. The following passage may help you:

“That you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, ‘Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.’… …”

“But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed” (2 Peter 3:2-10).

Which Team are You On?

One of the mantras for this ecumenical unification is “If you love Jesus, we’re on the same team,” with the emphasis of serving the cultures of the world with a unified Christian message.

During November of this year, the Vatican hosted an interreligious conference to discuss the sanctity of marriage under the definition that marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman. In addition to numerous representatives of the Roman Catholic Church, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, and Mormon faith participated in the conference. To top the list of who’s in who in attendance were Pastor Rick Warren and Russel Moore, who were key note speakers. Listen to Rick Warren’s short YouTube video published by the Roman Catholic Church. Note Warren’s new mantra pushing for unity, “if you love Jesus, we’re on the same team.”

These deceivers use Christ’s name freely to sway ignorant Christians to follow their wayward teachings and false examples of discipleship. The Apostle Paul wrote of this type of deceit, “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,  while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:12-13).

The deception is becoming more intense, pressuring the ignorant, wayward, and lukewarm believers to get with the ecumenical movement and be on the winning team. These imposters are evil and are preparing to mount a worldwide campaign to promote a false gospel and bring unrelenting influence upon politics, cultures, and promote global economic equality and religious harmony.

A Supernaturally Empowered True Body of Christ

The Bride of Christ will suddenly appear with a Come Away Message

We have described for some time the coming rise of a supernaturally empowered invisible church that will suddenly become visible to the whole world. This coming church of true believers will be comprised of all denominations and ethnic backgrounds. This will be God’s answer to the false harlot church now forming.

Soon the Bride of Christ will appear in all her splendor, in purity, unity with Christ, and in the unbridled power of the Holy Spirit. The Bride of Christ will present the message of the coming kingdom—the good news that Christ and the kingdom of God are approaching, with a stern warning that great tribulation and suffering will usher in the coming kingdom.

A message of, Come Away and be separate will be the marching orders for God’s coming army and the coming end of the age harvest of souls. This message will be nerve wracking and upsetting to the lukewarm and to the false, where division and strife will be its by-product. This message will be like Moses’ message in the wilderness during Korah’s rebellion, or like Christ’s call to his followers concerning the temple worship system turned evil through the teachings of men.

The message from the Holy Spirit today is come out from amongst them!

Get With the True Body of Christ Now!

There is no sneaky or scheming approach to this call to come away. The Apostle Paul had to deal with deceitful impersonators who were misleading many believers who were in his care. Describing his approach in dealing with Christian deceivers, in the following passage Paul depicts the false as using disgraceful and underhanded methods as they tamper with Scripture to suit their agenda.

“But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.  And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing.  In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4”2-4).

Has the god of this world blinded your mind to the truth of the Gospel? We are presenting a clear and simple statement of the truth concerning end of the age deceptions. Unbelief in the accuracy and the literal interpretation of the prophets, the Apostles, and most importantly our Lord will allow end of the age scoffers and imposters to swallow you up with their lies.

Just a handful of ministers of the Gospel are warning to get ready for what Christ describes as a very terrible time—and that time is upon us!

Take a serious look at the nightmarish condition the so-called body of Christ is in today and consider how lawlessness, immorality, along with political deceit and incompetence, is creating chaos and anarchy—which is ripping the culture of America apart.

I hope that you are determined as much as we are to get with God’s program now, discern the hour, and come away from the false. The coming super world church message is seeping into evangelical, Pentecostal, and charismatic fellowships everywhere. Their message is basically—rally round Christ’s name and just go-with-it.

The message from the throne of God, (and our message) is “Get with the true body of Christ now, and become a true disciple of Christ.” And the call to action is “Come Away” from the false while there is still time.
