The “NO FEAR” generation is about to experience a rude awakening! by Charles Pretlow 11/10/16
“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Luke 21:25-26).
The stage is set for the fulfillment of Christ’s prophetic warning for this last generation. Over the last thirty years or so, the American culture, including most Christians have arrogantly ignored or downplayed the looming signs that clearly point to the end of this age. For believers, various false teachings about what the end of this age will look like, along with the pre-tribulation rapture lie, has helped anesthetize millions upon millions of Christians into a complete zombie state—a dead sleep—just as Jesus described in the parable of the ten maidens (Matthew 25:1-13).
When the Berlin wall fell and the cold war ended, a subtle blanket of “world peace euphoria” enveloped America and much of the western world. However, over the last twenty years another cold war has subtly arose under the radar of most Americans and most Christians—few realize the significance of the military aggression of Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. Of course, all the Christian false alarmists decrying the rapture will occur on a certain date along with the conspiracy theorists who incite paranoia with false warnings have added to the numbing process. Jesus also warn about these false prophets and false prognosticators.
The rise of Muslim extremists warring against Israel, Christians, and the west is considered the last obstacle blocking world peace. Few see the world being positioned by satanic powers of darkness preparing to ignite worldwide Armageddon.
Now, as the world begins adjusts to a new political power structure in America, Christians and the more conservative and moralists in American are beginning to breathe a sigh of relief.
Don’t be fooled, this coming next five to eight years is the lull leading up to the end of this age perfect storm. Not only are the enemies of America, Christianity, and Israel frothing to spill into more cultural unrest, anarchy, and terrorism—earthquakes, natural disasters, and the roaring of the seas are going to increase in giant leaps of magnitude and frequency.
Thus, most Christians will still stay asleep and ignore the signs that Christ clearly described that point to the end of this age, where international perplexities and the upheaval of nature will slowly begin to strike fear in the hearts of the masses. There is a crescendo to these coming tempests, where God’s faithfulness is demonstrated with these terrible shakings to restore the fear of God for those who still have a heart for God and an ear to hear—before sudden destruction falls.
More shaking and turmoil is coming, which is God’s last attempt to awaken His people and His lost sheep. Christ’s servants will be released to shout the midnight cry. Many Christians are about to wake up and find themselves not ready. False peace has fallen like a spellbinding mist even though the end is near, just as the Apostle Paul described:
“Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11).
We must grow up into salvation, walk in a healthy fear God with all humility, keeping our nerve as these things unfold. We must learn to abide in Christ (the true Christ) and learn to discern and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit—in doing these things we will be awake, strong, and ready to endure all these things and stand before Him at His coming.
“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36).
