Waking up unprepared to choose which way to move and who to believe.
by Charles Pretlow 02/15/2017
America and the nations of the world are moving towards a cataclysmic clash of opposing ideologies that are leading people and governments toward worldwide chaos. Already, with this election, sides are being defined with extreme passion, hatred, physical hostility, and self-righteous arrogance.
The main ideologies: Social globalism is pressing towards an autocratic new world order. Some nations including the US are resisting globalism, where nationalism is pressing to maintain national sovereignty, individual freedoms and prosperity. Religious ideology within Christianity and Islam are pressing for theocratic rulership over all of humanity.
These movements are starting to disturb the masses and causing confusion for unprepared believers in Christ. For centuries, each generation of Christians have fallen asleep, content to settle into their differing camps of theology and errored narratives about how the coming new millennium and world peace will shake out.
Jesus prophesied that Christians would be slumbering while waiting for the birth of the Kingdom of God to manifest physically on earth. Three main scenarios permeate Christianity. Two are very popular and cause extreme passivity, while the true narrative is shunned by most:
1) Dominion Theology and Amillennialism, a mixture of false teachings: Christ will set up his kingdom through his Church, using political influence and converting the lost to Christ. This doctrine is labeled dominion theology and requires a unified Christianity, where Catholics and Protestants mend fences and unite. The universe will be ruled from Christ in heaven for a thousand-years, represented on earth by a unified Christianity. Then at the end of this literal thousand-year golden age of peace on earth, Christ will return.
2) Premillennial Pretribulation Rapture, another destructive heresy: The end of the age will come after Christians are rescued by Christ (the rapture) just before the Great Tribulation begins, this trouble will increase to a crescendo morphing into God’s wrath. This terrible time will befall all who are left on planet earth (the so-called left behind people). Then Christ will return with the raptured Christians to set up his reign on earth for thousand years.
3) Premillennial with Post-Tribulation Rapture, the narrative that Christ taught: As the end of this age draws near, great trouble will fall upon all nations while Christians and Jews will be targeted as trouble makers, primarily because they oppose the emerging new world order, where a world dictator will facilitate world peace and abolish religious conflict. At the revealing of the new world leader (the anti-Christ), Israel will accept a false peace plan and the unified Christian religion will embrace other religions as having co-redemptive powers. Thus, no longer embracing Christ as the only way to eternal salvation and the way to a true relationship with God. This Christian super-church will press for world peace and embrace one government for the whole world, but in the end, Israel and this false—harlot Christian church will be persecuted by the new world ruler and be thrown under the bus (an expression of betrayal from our modern vernacular). As the Great Tribulation nears complete world destruction, Christ will appear in the heavens, as the sky opens like a scroll. At this point, the rapture of the true Christian will take place and all the people of Israel will finally recognize that Christ was and is their Messiah. Israel will be surrounded by her enemies and just in time, Christ will return to earth with the resurrected and raptured saints to save Israel from complete annihilation—then rule the earth for a thousand years. This theological position teaches that terrible troubles will come upon all humanity for a specific period, and those troubling times will also affect Christians. However, Christians will be rescued (raptured) at the end of that Great Tribulation period, just before the wrath of God falls upon the world as judgments from God and then finally Christ returns to save Israel. (This is the scenario Christ taught as well as other New Testament authors.)
Shocked and Shaken Awake
Christ warned of a time coming that would signify the end of this age and usher the millennial rule of Christ on earth. Jesus explains: “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near” Luke 21:25-28
Most Christians know these passages of Scripture concerning the end times, but few are awake and seeing that these signs are coming to past rapidly. From now forward, you will see even more distress of the nations, earthquakes, and other natural calamities; this is God sounding the alarm to all who have an ear to hear while there is time to wake up, and realize the truth and become ready.
Those following this blog and our ministry have heard and read these same warnings time and again. Unfortunately, how many of our readers are half awake in a twilight daze, hitting the snooze button, figuring there will be plenty of time to get ready.
Like the masses laughing at and mocking Noah while he built the ark, then drowned in the global deluge, so too masses of on fire Christians will wake up too late, and find that they had no extra oil to maintain their faith to endure the coming terrifying hard times that are about to spring upon the whole world.
Pray Fervently to Allow the Holy Spirit to Discipline and Work into you Christ-like Character
Concerning the time now upon us, Jesus also warned: “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36).
Do not let this recent national election lull you further into a stupor. Many Christians are convinced Trump’s win is the beginning of the Lord restoring America back to a godly Christian principled nation. To the contrary, at best we have an extension of time with continued religious freedom to get out the true Gospel narrative concerning the end of this age—to sound the trumpet in a mighty way.
And to accomplish this, God is looking for true workers and ministers to raise up as servant warriors to fight the apathy plaguing most Christians. Enlist now in Christ’s school of ministry and allow him to discipline and train you up to do his bidding in these last days.
A Kingdom that Cannot be Shaken
There is no place on earth that will be spared and be a safe-haven. Some places may be safer than others, however, as Christ warned, this coming trouble, “Will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.”
There is only one pure safe place to be, abiding in Christ, walking in his protection and carrying out God’s perfect will in all things. The invisible kingdom of heaven is open to those who are transformed into Christ-like character (this does include those who have learned to mimic the Christian walk, or for those who were initially born anew, but staying lukewarm, never growing up into Christ).
Yes, this invisible kingdom of Christ and of God is available to enter now, but it is not open to just anyone who calls themselves a Christian. The kingdom of heaven on earth is in the spirit realm and we can and must abide in God’s kingdom which is protected, walled off from the false, and gated in such a way as to only allow entry for those who have been tested and extremely vetted.
“For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 5:5-6).
Further, the Apostle Paul instructs and warns: “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God…. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:19-24).
If you want to be able to endure the coming terrible times that lead up to Christ’s appearance, then don’t refuse the Holy Spirit’s voice. Even now, as he bears witness to this stern warning with the call to wake up now, don’t sluff this warning off as another diatribe coming from an over-exuberant alarmist.
God almighty is about to raise his voice and shake everything that can be shaken!
“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, ‘Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.’ This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:25-29).
Few Christians today are grateful to be able to receive an unshakeable kingdom, let alone act appropriately to enter therein and abide. We must press in now, and present ourselves as a living sacrifice in holy fear, reverence and awe—while there is still time!
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1-2).
