Developing Strength to Endure and Escape

Taking to heart and acting on Christ’s warnings. by Charles Pretlow 04/23/2018

bibleprayer“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36).

 What Type of Strength?

What type of strength are we to pray for that will allow us to escape the difficult troubles now coming upon America and the world?  When we start praying for strength, what must we understand concerning how God’s strengthens his children to endure, survive and stand when Christ appears?

Simply, it is strength of faith in Christ and obedience to his words. This strength of faith is not magically downloaded by one or two prayers hastily presented before God. In Romans 12:1 the Apostle Paul exhorts us to present our bodies, (all of life’s cares, passions, and ambitions) as a living sacrifice to God. This translates into giving God permission to do whatever it takes to get us ready and strong in the Lord Christ Jesus.

In the book of James, we are instructed: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:2-4).

How many are willing to give God permission to try their faith to become strong in the Lord? That he may try us and discipline us to the point that our walk with Christ is in perfection of faith. Complete in obedience to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, and that we lack nothing in this life, even in times of severe trouble.

Trails of faith are not fun, and we are not to walk around setting ourselves up for abuse and trouble. They will come when you least expect them and are meant to strengthen us in faith, trust, and obedience. In trials we learn to rely not on ourselves, but on God who will save us from the mouth of lion. Few understand the way through a trial is trust, obedience, and endurance. That means we are not to cower in the corner and become frozen in hysteria and push the panic button.

When God delivers us through a trail, it is when every avenue of own ingenuity and strength is exhausted. And that is when our prayers become serious, desperate and humble.

All the great stories of Scripture; David, Daniel, Shadrach Meshach and Abednego, Moses and Israel trapped between the Red Sea and the Pharaoh’s army—all past men and women of faith, stood their ground and proved God mighty and merciful—a deliverer for those who trust and obey.

Study Hebrews chapter eleven and see how all those before us looked towards what we now have in our personal Savior and Lord Christ Jesus. How dare we neglect such a great salvation and walk in error, messing up our relationship with the living God by putting our faith in nothing else but Christ.

In James we are encouraged to count it all joy in a trial, which does not mean that we pretend fear and anxious feelings away by conjuring up a false bravado. Rather, we take ownership of those “lack of peace” feelings and come before the Lord asking him to show us why we so easily melted in fear and unbelief.

We must learn that standing firm in a trial (even if we feel like fleeing) works to our benefit. Many struggle in a trial, fretting, complaining, acting out fear, and jumping on a false deliverance and not waiting for Christ to open the door of escape. Those who practice a “self-survival Christian walk” never learn and are in constant turmoil.

Eventually, God will abandon them to their own false walk as a Christian. It is for discipline that we must endure, “If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children” (Hebrews 12:8).

Learn to take advantage of your trials, and you will understand why James states that being steadfast will a, “full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

It is a Matter of Heart

If our hearts fail us in a trial, then we have issues of heart that are weighing us down. Love of this world, the pleasures of this life, fear of dying, relationship idolatry, bitter resentment and so forth are issues of heart that we must have healed and cleansed. If the cares of this life cling to us, then we must learn how to die to those inner hidden reefs of unbelief and wounds to our spirit that drive our passions of the flesh. These issues are what push our own self-deliverance schemes into action.

Most Christians are not drunkards of wine; however, masses of deceived believers are drunk on the blessings from God in this life. Relationships, events, work, ministry, children, grandchildren, vacations, a new car, dining out, and most of these cares are related to the love of money.

Christians use God’s blessings on earth to suppress their unbelieving issues of heart. We often become sentimental and romanticize our past blessings and develop a lust for potential future blessings. Worried about being comfortable in this life, we become blind to the world and its perverse culture.

The world and a backslidden Church constantly spews defiling spiritual toxins, lulling us into apathy. All this is amplified by the many false teachers with their doctrines of men and demons that easily confuse and sift us, attempting to destroy our faith in Christ.

False teachings rule in our hearts because we have never allowed the Lord to show himself in our trials, where we become grounded in God’s written word, building all of life upon all of Christ’s words.

Christ’s harder teachings are glossed over or ignored leaving our hearts naïve and vulnerable to the wiles of the devil, and his imposters in leadership. False teachers give us permission to stay in love with this world. In this dark hour most Christians hate true servants who warn to flee the cares of this life and walk in purity of heart.

Most Christians cling to the cares of this life and refuse to walk away from the love of this world. The coming persecution and Great Tribulation will force deceived believers to give up the love of this world and become rapture ready, not looking back on this life whatsoever!

Lot and his wife should have walked away from Sodom long before angels of the Lord had to be dispatched to rescue them. Even then, Scripture states that Lot lingered and had to be drug out by the arm by his angelic guests. Of course, we know the story of Lot’s wife, how she looked back and was judged for her disobedience.

Have you ever wondered why she looked back despite the command? Was it her sentimental fondness of the good times in a vile culture, or her unbelief that questioned God’s promised judgment upon the wicked? As believers in these last moments of this age, we better understand why Jesus said, “Remember Lot’s wife.” Study Luke 17:22-37.

Last days Christians must learn to stop worrying about what’s in their wallet and deal with what’s in their heart. The message from heavenly angels in this hours is: “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues” (Revelation 18:4).

Indeed, it is a matter of heart in developing an enduring faith or lack thereof. We must allow our hearts to be full of God’s love and grace to persevere and trust Christ in the coming troubles.

What’s hidden in your heart can sabotage strength and your victory.  “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!” (2 Corinthians 13:5).

Trials help us examine our faith. Enduring trials victoriously will develop strength of faith to guide and glide us through the coming storms, because Christ will be formed in us. It is Christ alone that is our strength. He is to be to us like Noah’s Ark, to ride in Him above the last days tribulations—safe and secure in His everlasting arms.

Becoming a Midnight Cry Servant

Excerpt from next book—Midnight Cry Awakening

by Charles Pretlow 02/01/2018

The Birth Pangs and Wilderness Training

With Trump’s election win, the visible Christian church is growing smugger and arrogantly bolder. Yet, as the birth pangs increase, with persecution on the rise, and the USA politically and culturally divided, few can completely push away the ominous sense of doom.

Few Christians realize that this current economic boom is the last gasp before judgement. It will be a snare for the foolish Christian.

Jesus warned there would prosperity coupled with national disasters, distress of the nations, and rising persecution just before the hammer falls. A few noted national Christian leaders are finally venturing to say judgment for America is looming.

Anne Graham Lotz, in a recent interview in Decision magazine was quoted, “When you sin, and you refuse to repent, God backs away, You don’t repent and you continue to sin and you become defiant, and He backs away further until in the end, God just turns you over to yourself. That’s where America is today. Look at the end of Romans 1. He’s just backed away from us, turned us over to ourselves. As they say, ‘America, how’s that working for you?’”

Lotz also warns severe judgment has already started. “And I’m talking about something like a nuclear strike, an earthquake that splits us in two, an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack that devastates our electrical grid. Something major that would be a game-changer for America, because we are so defiant and rebellious and idolatrous and immoral, and we know better.”

Unfortunately, Lotz warnings are not strong enough, they are too little and too late. Anyone warning on the national scene like Lotz, will be muffled because they lack the full impact of Christ and the Apostle’s prophesies concerning this very hour.

Pillow prophets, who hear noted evangelicals like Anne Graham Lotz, will pounce and douse these warnings and decry those who warn as dooms day loose cannons. The false will continue to minimize warnings, by declaring that they are misinterpreting Scripture. However, true bonds servants of Christ will soon be releasing warnings and they will backed by the power of God and solid expounding of Biblical prophecy. Then the pillow prophets will be muzzled and egged faced.

Until then, the false will counter-act warnings and relieve any distress that might wake up Christians. They declare that these troubles are not birth pangs of the coming Kingdom of God, but rather God shaking people awake and preparing for another grand awakening that will save America.

The following is an excerpt from our next book, Midnight Cry Awakening God’s Final Call Upon the End-of-this-Age Sleeping Church. God is looking to raise up true servants of Christ who will work in the coming midnight cry awakening. This final move of God will facilitate and lead into the last days final harvest.

This portion of the book will help you understand what a true bond servant of Christ must act like from the heart.

From A Follower and Disciple, to a Bond Servant of Christ

Following Christ is a radical change in all of life, and many relatives and family members may oppose such a move. Often disciples may find, like Peter, that they love work, people, and family more than they love Christ. These issues must be dealt with.

When these issues are cleared up in the heart of a disciple, Christ will personally restore in manifold measure homes and significant relationships with proper boundaries, unless a relationship continues to live in sin, be abusive, and reject the Gospel, in that case the person may be evil and must be avoided entirely.

The alternative is: if we do not leave the emotional and sometimes physical hold others have on us, we will not succeed in obtaining the grace of God and run the risk of falling away from Christ, potentially, losing eternal life.

When you have gone through this sanctification process—where you put to death the deeds of the body by the Holy Spirit— the abundant joyful life in Christ is yours, a life in which you are safe, where Satan can’t blackmail or tempt you beyond your strength since the passions of the flesh are now crucified. “… for if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (Romans 8:13-14).

This is the life of a true disciple—always carries in the body the death of Christ, so the life of Christ is manifest through him or her and bestowed upon others. This is a life where rivers of pure and living water, the Holy Spirit, flows through you and out to others.

Living water life full of wisdom, boldness, surety, confidence in God—that dares not rely on self. Discernment will be keen to judge evil from good, and solid faith to move mountains, and not glorifying self in the process.

Your life will be a life of prayer and humility. You will not care about the appearance of righteousness, but you will live righteously from the heart. You will not put on a pretense of righteousness to make sinners feel lost. You will share your faith graciously without manipulation, pressure, or haughtiness. You will not waste time on liars, game players, and hypocrites. You will pray things through and then watch God’s will come to pass, since that is what God asked you to pray. You will live daily to do God’s will above all else. You will not have an attitude of working for God but rather a rest in God where His Spirit works through you to get His agenda done—not yours or man’s.

This new life is the life of grace that comes only by the work of the cross and the baptism of fire. The cross brings to death our mixed motives—those hidden motives that drive us to serve God for our own exaltation and glory.

The desires of the flesh are in check now that your personal spirit is no longer tied to the old nature. You will be able to put off the old nature that is like your former way of life because your inner mind, heart, and spirit have been transformed, renewed, cleansed and healed.

Your heart and mind will be set on heaven and fighting for God’s will to be done on earth, above all else! Abiding in Christ comes when our inner issues and carnal agendas die, and we rest in the presence of God.

We become trained to be aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit even when actively engaged in earthly tasks and conversation with others.

You will know the will of God and fight for it. You will suffer the sufferings of Christ as you stand in the gap for those people in your life that God desires to set free. Your body will manifest the effects of this spiritual warfare in the form of aches, pains, mishaps and sometimes strange accidents—but always ending with God’s healing and strengthening.

Emotional and spiritual oppression will come and go as you stand in the gap warding off Satan’s attacks against those he holds captive—while all through the battle, you will be sustained and strengthened by Christ until victory is achieved.

Your life will not be fanatical and religious. The lost and weak Christian will feel safe to confess sins and ask for prayer and counsel. You will be stable, strong, caring, frank, loving, firm, courageous, meaningful, non-threatening, encouraging, sober; yet, fun-loving, childlike but mature, slow to speak, having words full of wisdom and grace, intolerant toward evil and evil people but patient with sinners, the brethren, and those who are weak.

Say, this is how Jesus walked! “… he who says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked” (1 John 2:6).

You will not be afraid to confront evil and stand up for righteousness, even in the face of persecution. You will be proactive in your continued sanctification, ever pressing on to the high call of God in Christ Jesus. You will rejoice and not panic when trouble sweeps the land, even when afflictions strike home. You will be a pillar for loved ones to gather around for support and strength.

You will know how and when to say “no” to those who flatter and use you. You will avoid doing for others what they need to do for themselves. You will wean out the game players after a season of support, knowing that Christ, not you, must now become their everything. You will learn to catch flattery and not let it deceive you. You will learn to die to the work God gives you, so you can hand it to your replacement when God calls you to other things or take a break before starting something new.

People will see your strength, seek your help, and ask you to pray for them. You will learn to graciously but firmly tell those who seek your counsel what they need to hear not what they would like to hear in the flesh. You will stick to your word even if it personally turns out for the worst.

Satan will know that he cannot buy you, blackmail you, pressure you, or intimidate you. Demons will know you as a true enemy. They will harass you and attack you so your victories and accomplishments in Christ will not puff you up.

You will know you are a soldier for Christ whose heart and treasures are in heaven, and you will fight in the “war of the universe” that never ends until that Great Day—Christ’s appearance. You will understand the cost and be willing to lay down all glory for your King. In all of this, you will become a true disciple of Christ and walk as He walked. You will overcome, endure to the end, and be saved!

All that I have written here is in Scripture. It is obtainable! The old nature can and must be dealt with through Christ in His discipline and His leadership. Grace will abound, and sin will no longer have dominion over you. You will succeed in crucifying the deeds of the old self, maintain power over the old nature, and be at rest, ready to meet the Lord in physical death or at His appearance.

God will do mighty and terrible things when His leaders and workers, His remnant, have been thoroughly cleansed—when they walk as Christ walked.

What will the Lord do when this purification is complete? “Then I will draw near to you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow and the orphan, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts” (Malachi 3:5). And, “Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, and make holiness perfect in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1).

The Lord will have at His disposal a mighty army who will demonstrate the true power of God as they gather souls in the final great harvest!

This is the time to get ready, dig deep, get right with God, and allow Him to crucify the works of the flesh within you. Let Him lay bare your motives, thoughts, and intentions of the heart. Embrace His discipline now so you be used of Him, and may stand at His coming.

EOTA Chaos: God’s Shakeup Plan

Breaking America’s spell over God’s people     by Charles Pretlow 05/18/2017

Even with america foreverthe increased dividedness across the nation, along with the political chaos and the resurrection of the cold war, Christians are still asleep!

The American dream and a watered-down Gospel has blinded God’s people to the obvious. The full truth of Christ’s teaching concerning the end-of-this-age events have been all but completely suppressed by most Christians theologians, authors, preachers, and teachers. The false teachings of Christ’s return have fit nicely into the hearts of millions of believers due to the extreme
Christian idolatry of America and prosperity, attempting to make America heaven on earth.

Blinded and worried, God’s people are “all about” saving America from the wicked, and in doing so, they are putting themselves in peril of not becoming ready for the coming tribulation that leads to Christ’s appearance.

The hopes of redeeming America have completely eroded.  Even with the election of Donald Trump and the agenda of changing America’s hell bent fall into total chaos—nothing is working. Rather the effort is fueling the bulging divide and confusion continues to escalate across the nation. All the efforts to drain the swamp in Washington DC are just inflaming the rage, vitriol, and inspiring more insane-illogic of the wicked.

Don’t be deceived, the righteous are being stripped of power to persuade the masses to return to morality, accountability, and common sense. The unrepentant and the wicked demand safe space so they don’t have to hear the truth, and this sin-centered bubble of is gaining legal traction.

And why? Because most churches, street and campus ministries point a condemning finger at the wicked, causing the freedom of speech with truth and the Gospel to be attacked. The wicked have seen enough Christian hypocrisy and carnal living to have any conviction of sin and judgment smothered. Any attempt to warn or confront in the power of the Holy Spirit concerning their perverted life-styles and wickedness will continue to incite outright rage. Already, their sexually perverted agenda has gained entrance into grade schools to indoctrinate children.

The wicked of today are becoming as evil as the wicked in Lot’s day. In Sodom, the gang of homosexuals attacked Lot verbally and tried to break into his house and rape him and his angelic guests. When Lot confronted them, their vile hatred and disrespect went as follows: “But they said, ‘Stand back!’ And they said, ‘This fellow came to sojourn, and he has become the judge! Now we will deal worse with you than with them.’ Then they pressed hard against the man Lot, and drew near to break the door down” (Genesis 19:9).

Peter wrote that Lot was, “Greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard) (2 Peter 2:7-8). Few Christians today are greatly distressed by the wicked, so as to take to heart Christ’s warnings of the coming hour of darkness leading up to his appearance: “Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot—they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all— so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:28-30).

Fun Loving Christians Playing Church

Christians are still happy-go-lucky. Even though the wickedness and the immoral cultural nightmare continues. Christian national leaders continue to invoke “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land“ (2 Chronicles 7:14).  All this, in the hopes of praying in a revival to change the moral direction of America. It was too late years ago, when the true move of the Holy Spirit during the 70s was swallowed up by carnal church growth, lukewarm preaching, insane false spiritual manifestations, and toxic catering to social needs without making disciples.

True prophets back in the seventies and eighties, like David Wilkerson (The Vision and Beyond) were shunned, shamed, and ignored. Now read Wilkerson’s vision he received back in 1973. It should terrify the reader into repentance, into seeking the truth, coming to the Lordship of Christ, and desiring to walk in the Kingdom of Christ now, in true holiness and the fear of God.

Abraham beseeched God on behalf of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, but unfortunately there were not enough righteous in the cities to stop the destruction. However, righteous Lot and his family were saved by leaving, and in that, Lot had to be virtually dragged out of the city. Even as Lot’s family escaped, the spell of Sodom caused Lot’s wife to look back, causing her own demise.

Notable Christian leaders dare not declare to God’s people that America is past the point of no-return and is slated for End-of-this-Age (EOTA) judgments. They dare not warn Christians who are clinging to the things of this world, as Christ plainly said, “Remember Lot’s wife” (Luke 17:32).

Leadership Vacuum Across the Nation and the World

Leaders in business, politics, and in Christianity are now in over their heads for solutions and direction. This vacuum of true leadership will soon be replaced by true servants of Christ who will not be afraid to warn and describe accurately and prophetically the coming dire troubles.

From here on, political and Christian leaders alike will be stumped and appear to the masses as incompetent. Then for a brief time the truth will get out to the masses in a mighty way. Then the door will shut on the truth that warns of the coming judgements, as this secular leadership vacuum becomes filled the Antichrist’s leadership, as he employs his entourage of sycophants, who will help him promote his deceiving schemes as rises to worldwide power.

Birth Pang Events Pushing More Chaos

God is allowing Satan to bring end-of-this-age trouble and chaos upon the whole world (including America). One of the primary objectives in this progression of trouble and chaos is to break the spell of the Americanized Gospel. A large portion of American Christians believe God made the USA a Christian nation, ordained as one nation under God, to become His vehicle to save the world and usher in the 1000-year millennial reign.

Now anarchy, lawlessness, and rebellion have become the political voice of choice for the wicked, racing towards various boiling points, inciting more chaos. How enraged, threatening, and out of control will America become before Christians are shaken awake and the spell of the American dream is broken. The hearts of most American Christians are far from God, filled with lethargy because of sin and the love of this life. Few are willing to accept that the world and America are in the end-of-this-age distresses of chaos and trouble.

Lot, even though warned of the coming fiery judgment, stood frozen and spellbound; “As morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, ‘Up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be swept away in the punishment of the city.’  But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city” (Genesis 19:15-16).

God is not sending angels to seize lethargic-spellbound Christians who linger in sin, refusing to give up the love of America, but rather God is letting the fiery heat of increasing chaos, judgments, and the loss of religious freedoms to shakeup God’s people who are spellbound by churchianity. The final EOTA message from above will be a: “Voice from heaven saying, ‘Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues’” (Revelation 18:4).

Yes, Christ promised the following: “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.  And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.  And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven” (Mark 13:24-27).

Multitudes of believers even more spellbound by false doctrines teaching that Jesus will send out the angels to rapture of the saints before the Great Tribulation. However, it is quite clear in the above passage from the Gospel of Mark that Christ will send the angels (like God did for Lot) to rescue his own, after those days of extreme tribulation.

Multitudes of Christians Lingering Over the Love of this World—America

Even though the hand writing is on the wall—which should make Christ’s warnings concerning the end of this age shouted from every pulpit, loud and clear—Christians are still asleep and in a spiritual stupor. This recent election will not stop the end of this age evil chaos and judgments—the backlash for this administration’s efforts to bring change will come with vengeances. Like the wicked in Lot’s day, the wickedness moving through the masses across America will bounce back with new legal and political clout. They will succeed as they press hard to destroy any remaining vestige of America the Beautiful, Christian moral influence, along with God’s name and His blessings.

At best, we are gaining some time to get ready. However, the sincere believer in Christ must make sure he or she change their heart’s allegiance now. Who will you serve, the American dream rejuvenated by Trump, or the kingdom of Christ. Most Christians smugly rely too much on their American citizenship, with all its blessings, totally ignorant that they are putting their citizenship in Christ’s kingdom in jeopardy.

The cares of the American dream are about to swell to an overwhelming pressure and will become a trap sprung by the devil: “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap.  For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.  But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36)

Wake Up Now and Stay Awake

Christian, is it chaotic enough to shake loose the lethargy? Everyone who has an ear to hear, it is time to wake up before it’s too late. Now is the time to becomes pure, seek God’s perfect will and walk in the works He has prepared for each believer. Just coasting along playing church is about to end. You can count on it.

No one will escape the coming mounting chaos, it will touch all. The chaos will grow until it disturbs everyone’s false peace and tranquility. It will grow and grow until the American dream is replaced within the Christian heart with the reality of judgment and eternity—and that reality is at our door step, pressing on our doors. Millions upon millions of Christians may wake up and find themselves foolishly unprepared, judged with the wicked and find the door to Christ’s kingdom shut. God forbid that be the case for you and me. We need to wake up and stay awake!

Those who don’t wake up and stay awake will cry, weep, and beg, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ Only to hear, “Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.” Therefore, you must take to heart Christ’s warning concerning the end of this age and, “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour” (Matthew 25:11-13.

Shaken Awake

Waking up unprepared to choose which way to move and who to believe.

by Charles Pretlow 02/15/2017

startled-awakeAmerica and the nations of the world are moving towards a cataclysmic clash of opposing ideologies that are leading people and governments toward worldwide chaos. Already, with this election, sides are being defined with extreme passion, hatred, physical hostility, and self-righteous arrogance.

The main ideologies: Social globalism is pressing towards an autocratic new world order. Some nations including the US are resisting globalism, where nationalism is pressing to maintain national sovereignty, individual freedoms and prosperity. Religious ideology within Christianity and Islam are pressing for theocratic rulership over all of humanity.

These movements are starting to disturb the masses and causing confusion for unprepared believers in Christ. For centuries, each generation of Christians have fallen asleep, content to settle into their differing camps of theology and errored narratives about how the coming new millennium and world peace will shake out.

Jesus prophesied that Christians would be slumbering while waiting for the birth of the Kingdom of God to manifest physically on earth. Three main scenarios permeate Christianity. Two are very popular and cause extreme passivity, while the true narrative is shunned by most:

1)      Dominion Theology and Amillennialism, a mixture of false teachings: Christ will set up his kingdom through his Church, using political influence and converting the lost to Christ. This doctrine is labeled dominion theology and requires a unified Christianity, where Catholics and Protestants mend fences and unite. The universe will be ruled from Christ in heaven for a thousand-years, represented on earth by a unified Christianity. Then at the end of this literal thousand-year golden age of peace on earth, Christ will return.

2)      Premillennial Pretribulation Rapture, another destructive heresy: The end of the age will come after Christians are rescued by Christ (the rapture) just before the Great Tribulation begins, this trouble will increase to a crescendo morphing into God’s wrath. This terrible time will befall all who are left on planet earth (the so-called left behind people). Then Christ will return with the raptured Christians to set up his reign on earth for thousand years.

3)      Premillennial with Post-Tribulation Rapture, the narrative that Christ taught: As the end of this age draws near, great trouble will fall upon all nations while Christians and Jews will be targeted as trouble makers, primarily because they oppose the emerging new world order, where a world dictator will facilitate world peace and abolish religious conflict. At the revealing of the new world leader (the anti-Christ), Israel will accept a false peace plan and the unified Christian religion will embrace other religions as having co-redemptive powers. Thus, no longer embracing Christ as the only way to eternal salvation and the way to a true relationship with God. This Christian super-church will press for world peace and embrace one government for the whole world, but in the end, Israel and this false—harlot Christian church will be persecuted by the new world ruler and be thrown under the bus (an expression of betrayal from our modern vernacular).  As the Great Tribulation nears complete world destruction, Christ will appear in the heavens, as the sky opens like a scroll. At this point, the rapture of the true Christian will take place and all the people of Israel will finally recognize that Christ was and is their Messiah. Israel will be surrounded by her enemies and just in time, Christ will return to earth with the resurrected and raptured saints to save Israel from complete annihilation—then rule the earth for a thousand years. This theological position teaches that terrible troubles will come upon all humanity for a specific period, and those troubling times will also affect Christians. However, Christians will be rescued (raptured) at the end of that Great Tribulation period, just before the wrath of God falls upon the world as judgments from God and then finally Christ returns to save Israel. (This is the scenario Christ taught as well as other New Testament authors.)

Shocked and Shaken Awake

Christ warned of a time coming that would signify the end of this age and usher the millennial rule of Christ on earth. Jesus explains: “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near” Luke 21:25-28

Most Christians know these passages of Scripture concerning the end times, but few are awake and seeing that these signs are coming to past rapidly. From now forward, you will see even more distress of the nations, earthquakes, and other natural calamities; this is God sounding the alarm to all who have an ear to hear while there is time to wake up, and realize the truth and become ready.

Those following this blog and our ministry have heard and read these same warnings time and again. Unfortunately, how many of our readers are half awake in a twilight daze, hitting the snooze button, figuring there will be plenty of time to get ready.

Like the masses laughing at and mocking Noah while he built the ark, then drowned in the global deluge, so too masses of on fire Christians will wake up too late, and find that they had no extra oil to maintain their faith to endure the coming terrifying hard times that are about to spring upon the whole world.

Pray Fervently to Allow the Holy Spirit to Discipline and Work into you Christ-like Character

Concerning the time now upon us, Jesus also warned: “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36).

Do not let this recent national election lull you further into a stupor. Many Christians are convinced Trump’s win is the beginning of the Lord restoring America back to a godly Christian principled nation. To the contrary, at best we have an extension of time with continued religious freedom to get out the true Gospel narrative concerning the end of this age—to sound the trumpet in a mighty way.

And to accomplish this, God is looking for true workers and ministers to raise up as servant warriors to fight the apathy plaguing most Christians. Enlist now in Christ’s school of ministry and allow him to discipline and train you up to do his bidding in these last days.

A Kingdom that Cannot be Shaken

There is no place on earth that will be spared and be a safe-haven. Some places may be safer than others, however, as Christ warned, this coming trouble, “Will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.”

There is only one pure safe place to be, abiding in Christ, walking in his protection and carrying out God’s perfect will in all things. The invisible kingdom of heaven is open to those who are transformed into Christ-like character (this does include those who have learned to mimic the Christian walk, or for those who were initially born anew, but staying lukewarm, never growing up into Christ).

Yes, this invisible kingdom of Christ and of God is available to enter now, but it is not open to just anyone who calls themselves a Christian. The kingdom of heaven on earth is in the spirit realm and we can and must abide in God’s kingdom which is protected, walled off from the false, and gated in such a way as to only allow entry for those who have been tested and extremely vetted.

“For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 5:5-6).

Further, the Apostle Paul instructs and warns: “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God…. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:19-24).

If you want to be able to endure the coming terrible times that lead up to Christ’s appearance, then don’t refuse the Holy Spirit’s voice. Even now, as he bears witness to this stern warning with the call to wake up now, don’t sluff this warning off as another diatribe coming from an over-exuberant alarmist.

God almighty is about to raise his voice and shake everything that can be shaken!

“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, ‘Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.’  This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.  Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:25-29).

Few Christians today are grateful to be able to receive an unshakeable kingdom, let alone act appropriately to enter therein and abide. We must press in now, and present ourselves as a living sacrifice in holy fear, reverence and awe—while there is still time!

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1-2).

Mini Move of God—A Trickle Before the Dam Breaks

Vision for Ministering to the Wounded is Coming to Pass

by Charles Pretlow 02/07/2017

With just one month outreach on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Loaves and Fishes a small move of God has begun. About 14 more people are attending Sunday fellowship, where about eight are from the shelter and others are coming from the community by word of mouth.

So far, the sharing and instruction has vetted those coming, where each demonstrate a serious attitude about Christ becoming Lord and are willing to enter God’s recovery program.

Two men have committed themselves to discipleship, mentoring, and instruction, working towards being released for ministry to help God’s wounded and the lost. One from the shelter and one by word of mouth who said he went to just about every church in the area, finding none faithful to the true Gospel—except MCCF.

Our Tuesday and Thursday meetings at Loaves and Fishes are suspended for now as another ministry has been invited for the next month to bring instruction. This is a welcomed break to give us time to adjust, consolidate, and disciple those now attending.

Hopefully, I can find time to finish the recovery workbook and the jump start life workbook. One of our future goals is to expand the Jump Start Life and Overcoming Through Christ ministry to the prisons here in Fremont County (over 15 in our area), and introduce this work to other missions and shelters in the state of Colorado and beyond. All to be done in bite sized chunks as the Lord leads.

Over the years, the Holy Spirit has consistently shown us that we must be ready for an influx of people waking up to the truth. The first wave coming will become equipped to minister during the coming end-of-this-age Midnight Cry Awakening. We have fought hard to get to this juncture, and now we are experiencing even greater pushback from the enemy.

Your prayers and financial support are needed more than ever. Through the years, we have refused to water down the Gospel message enticing the healthy and wealthy to bolster funding. Our continuation of this work has succeeded by miracle upon miracle, along with faithful support from each team member and a few members of our Internet family.

We now have our nursery and a youth activity area set up, as several families now attend with toddlers and youngsters. We are caravanning on Sunday mornings to give rides to fellowship and back for those at the shelter.

Our prayer request is for lump sum funds to come in and cover the purchase of a used 12 seat passenger van (good condition) and to pay off lines of credit and other debt. So, we are asking our Heavenly Father for a $50,000 shot in the arm. However, whatever amount comes in we will make do with.

Offerings and donations come from those attending fellowship, however few have much to give, so we refrain from pressuring the poor, or for that matter anyone. We trust God to encourage those with the means to give generously what they can, cheerfully, with no reluctance due to pressure, or from compulsion with the thought that giving to this work will bring them blessings. (The give-to-get doctrine that many ministries use to manipulate increased donations.)

Our weekly needs are increasing for such things as snacks for the nursery and child care on Sundays as well as help with lunch for those coming from the shelter during the week. Loaves and Fishes provides an evening dinner, a bed for the night and breakfast. Each client must leave the shelter by 7:45 AM and not return until 4:00 PM, thus most walk to town looking for a job, to deal legal matters or errands, or go to Walmart to stay warm; few have funds for lunch.

We are trying our best to help those who bear fruit of having a genuine “want to” for recovery: to provide computer time, use of the ministry fax, and a hot lunch. So far two are coming during the day. Others are coming to our Thursday night recovery meetings, after they are on their own and left the shelter. My counseling appointments have increased dramatically, so I am spending more time at the facilities counseling, mentoring, and directing those coming during the day to earn some cash by cleaning, organizing, and doing other ministry projects.

The main motive for this aspect of our ministry comes from the following passage:

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me…. as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me” Matthew 25:35-40

We have experienced that the broken hearted and wounded, and those down and out are much more receptive to all that Christ taught, and demonstrate a deep hunger for the healing ministry of the Holy Spirit—coming to Christ on God’s terms.

“And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, ‘Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ But when he heard it, he said, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.’” (Matthew 9:11-13).

Here is an opportunity to donate, if you can. Please pray. Thank you.

Enduring to the End

For the new year: Persecution, Hatred, Anarchy, Betrayal, Racism, and more falling away!

by Charles Pretlow 1/26/17

trump_inauguration_protests“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:9-14).

Are we ready to endure the next wave of end-of-this-age chaos?

The election of Trump may slow down some of the nightmarish changes leading to the coming new world order, however, the backlash from the disgruntled from this election loss is igniting a powerful wave of lawlessness (anarchy) and hate. Unable to politically oppose new policies, far left money is now being funneled into organized protests, riots, and lawlessness pushing for tantrum politics to enact change and keep the creep of globalism to speed on.

Who is really behind all this, it is none-less than the mysterious man of lawlessness. We must be following Christ and obeying Him, and embrace all that he taught—starting now! The rapture will not rescue us from the coming troubles that are reaching a boiling point.

You and I will witness the chaos that ushers in the coming New Order World Leader

The Apostle Paul was explicit, the man of lawless will be revealed before the Lord’s appearance: “Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God….  For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-8).

Christians are deceived and asleep concerning this hour and the coming gross darkness. Most are spell bound because of their love for this world. They are oblivious to the mysterious patterns of lawlessness that is ever increasing in frequency and intensity.

It’s all leading to the satanic inspired rebellion!

Like Korah in the wilderness stirring up rebellion to oppose Moses, the mystery of lawlessness will stir up rebellion and anarchy. This is how evil gains political power over the soft-passive minds of the masses, including Christians who live at ease, carelessly prancing through life. Trouble and chaos forces the naïve to follow false leadership, and on the other hand  the trouble will awaken many true Christians and millions of lost to embrace the Gospel in its entirety.

So, in God’s faithfulness  will continue to allow tribulation to increase just as Scripture decrees, to wake up his people, that they might become ready to endure to the end.

Unfortunately, the foolish Christian under the many false doctrines and misguided leaders will continue to fall away from God, where their love toward God, Christ and his Gospel will grow icy cold.

Ministry Vision — A Roadmap of Faith

Twenty-Eight Years of Preparation and Team Development        by Charles Pretlow 12/08/16

A Look at HCompass with needle pointing the word vision with blur effect plus blue and black tones. Conceptual image for immustration of company or business anticipation or strategyow Far We Have Come and the Next Phase

In 1988 our counseling ministry was established as a “faith” ministry—somewhat of a pilot program in a Foursquare fellowship in the Puget Sound region of the Pacific Northwest.  I was appointed the counseling pastor with no salary, receiving some occasional help from love offerings taken on my behalf by the senior pastor.

Each counselee was encouraged to give an honorarium at the end of each session, based on what he or she could afford. Sometimes a counselee would give items such as fresh salmon or other food items (usually just when we needed such). As word of mouth spread, my appointment calendar grew dramatically. Conflicts arose and eventually we had to start our own non-denomination home fellowship, preaching the Gospel, and gearing the work to help wounded Christians recover (God’s way) by offering counseling during the week.

Going independent was primarily due to the false teachings embraced by the senior pastor and the Foursquare denomination, which hindered the counselees from embracing sound doctrine that helps believers become cleansed of past defilements and wounds to the spirit in the discipline of God’s grace.

During this startup period for the counseling portion of our ministry, I received a vision from the Lord: One evening while seeking the Lord about the strenuous counseling work load, a vision came to my mind’s eye, where thousands upon thousands of Christians were languishing in darkness, deceived by false doctrine and hopelessly wandering. The gist of the vision was that a multitude of Christians had no hope of recovery concerning their emotional and mental instability, or become able to walk in the fullness of Christ.  In the vision, the need to help became overwhelming—and at that moment I thought to myself, and as a prayer to the Lord, “No way, I can’t do this!”

Then I heard the distinct voice of the Lord, “Will you do this for me?” Almost immediately I responded, “That’s not fair.” However, almost instantly after that rebuff to the Lord I realized—how could I say no to the Lord, thus I gave in.

Funny, but through the years since that vision, I have learned that there is no way that one individual counselor, one ministry or even a ministry consortium could handle the workload required to help so many. It is logistically and administratively impossible to help so many of God’s people overcome buried wounds and defilements that result in double mindedness (dividedness).

Praise be to God. The Holy Spirit as Counselor, Comforter, and Spirit of Truth is quite apt in healing, restoring, and regenerating life to a believer’s soul and spirit by healing a wounded spirit, damaged emotions and mental turmoil. He is present with every believer simultaneously, 24/7. However, the problem is: not many understand God’s word and the biblical principles to help them learn to cooperate and work out God’s recovery program, which leads to wholeness and the fullness of Christ.

 Twists and Turns

Like following a map that required compass readings at key waypoints, the Lord revealed at the right time what step to take and which direction to go. Sometimes it seemed we were being led away from the original vision, only to see the Lord’s wisdom and timing unfold, paving the way for the development of a resource or when it was time to procure a facility here in Canon City.

For over three years we have been praying and seeking the Lord about working with the local shelter to bring Christ to those in crisis and provide biblical counsel to those who would call upon Jesus. Again, at the Lord’s timing, this October one of our team members was hired to become the homeless shelter director. Another ministry partner was already there working as the receptionist—within a month the ministry gained access to help those in crisis and those struggling with life. Most importantly, we are learning what not to do by recognizing the missteps made by the current shelter system. Our vision of starting a complete Christ centered recovery program that works is now beginning take shape. This program will end up being taught to likeminded ministries as the Lord leads.

Millions of Believers at Risk of Losing-It

We have an urgent mandate to have all these teachings and resources in place ready to go. There is no time to waste, yet we must wait for God’s timing. This means we must advance steadily in doing what we know is God’s will for the moment. We desire God’s people to be ready, to be awake and prepared to work in the coming harvest of souls, which includes helping God’s wounded overcome.

Jesus warns believers concerning the last days that the end will mysteriously spring upon all. The unprepared will fall into a trap if they do not get ready, as Christ instructed: “Stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36). And in Matthew the Lord warns: “But the one who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13).

Continuous sobriety—with true spiritual, emotional, and mental strength is the only way to escape the coming troubles and endure to the end—until the rapture. This straight forward exhortation from the Lord is the only way we are to walk so that we may endure to the end.

Unfortunately, passivity, instability, false peace and false security are what most believers suffer today. I have discovered that many who want to be ready are God’s wounded. Most wealthy, healthy, and prosperous believers see no need to embrace Christ’s warnings and obey all that He taught, but rather most reject sound doctrine and choose false teachings that put them at ease. “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Many who are in this non-ready state will be the first ones to lose it—they will emotionally and mentally crumble and fall victim to the end of the age trap set by the devil and his workers who are disguised as servants of righteousness. Many who are unprepared will head to the world for sustenance, protection, and comfort from the coming tribulation. (Metaphorically, these did not carry enough oil for their lamps. See the parable of the ten maidens in Matthew 25.)

Fortunately, in great mercy, the Lord will bring a true awakening and healing to his wounded just in time that they may become ready and endure.

Our work in bringing forth these Biblical principles for true recovery is just one of many ministries hid out in the wilderness of preparation, ready to be launched into the spotlight by the power of His might. These ministries will be used to bring forth sound doctrine that the Holy Spirit can use to facilitate healing, recovery, maturity—helping restore the body of Christ to her full potential, beauty, and unity.

With this awakening, there will come a great chasm between the ready and the not ready, between the deceived and the awake. There will be a clear distinction between those who fall away yet stay in churchianity, and those who are true to the Lord and endure to the end and not sell out.

Many will become ready, as tempered and refined ministries launch out under God’s power to warn and equip those who have an ear to hear and faith to act.

Years of Preparation:

Maturing through Learning, Training, Stepping Out in Faith, and Doing

Over these many difficult years, we have learned firsthand about discernment, evil people, the false, and the demonic, how to walk in the true gifts of the Holy Spirit, crucifying the works of the flesh (carnal passions and desires), and how to minister to God’s wounded without keeping them weak and dependent—so they learn to walk in faith, able to move their own mountains in God’s power.

In addition, video broadcasting, post editing, book publishing, ministry administration, systems engineering, managerial organization, along with facility procurement and project planning and implementation have all been disciplines the Lord has led us to venture into, learning as we go. All to allow this work to stand independent of hirelings who might very well shipwreck this work. We, as the core team had to step out in faith and learn the ropes and know who to work with and how to get things done right with the least cost.

Just last week a local pastor asked Pastor Mark how we are funded, and he answered simply, “The Lord.” And that is how it all started years ago—by faith with no formal backing from any denomination or rich benefactor. Rather, by individuals called by God to help in so many ways. Yes, we learned to hang on by the skin of our teeth, making do with very little as it came in by the grace of God. At times, I held down a retail job while in ministry and I am currently using my social security monthly income to help support the work. Pastor Mark and his wife invested their life savings, as they hold down full time jobs, as do the other team members work other jobs and then volunteer their extra time to help sustain the ministry.

At times, we thought it would all crash down around our ears as each of us endured fiery trials that tested our faith, keeping us humble and walking in fear and trembling.

We have ministry partners all around the world, yet it is still just a handful who are moved by the Lord to consistently stay the course with us, to pray and send in donations as best as they can. As a team, we have learned to live on the edge with Christ, and we continue to learn as we go—yes, we are common uneducated men and women who mean business with our Lord to fulfil His call upon our lives. (See Acts 4:13.)

We have held our ground and refuse to tamper with the Gospel message, as the Apostle Paul put it: “Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God” (2 Corinthians 4:1-2).

 Ministry Transition Team in Place

The Lord has been faithfully adding likeminded and gifted team members to this work. People who have a call and burden to minister to God’s wounded and facilitate true discipleship. Without going into boring details, every key position of administration and ministry leadership is being filled by the Lord. These fellow team members are experienced in managing, training, and delegating work to new staff team members as is needed. As mentioned, each team member volunteers time and supports this work financially.

Jump Start Life and Overcoming Through Christ

The last projects we are working hard to complete is the pilot program we mentioned in a previous blog—that being the Jump Start Life in Christ curriculum for the local homeless shelter and for those in severe crisis. Currently two of our team members are working at the local food bank and homeless shelter implementing this new program. When this six-week pilot program is completed we will write and publish a corresponding workbook as one of our resources for recovery. The other important resource that we are almost ready to publish is our main recovery workbook: Overcoming Through Christ God’s Recovery Program. This resource is already being used as our curriculum for our weekly recovery meetings. (These resources for helping the wounded recovery is developed by over 28 years of ministry experience, counseling, and study.)

It is important for each partner reading this post to know we are facing some real spiritual opposition, delays, and financial bumps as we press on to finish these two projects. We feel that these two programs currently under development are the last bit of work to be done before this ministry is released into the next phase. We believe the Lord is encouraging us to continue hang in there as we battle to become ready for the next phase.

Day of Visitation

Jesus rebuked Israel for not knowing her time of visitation. Likewise, Christians today are aloof to the coming hour of God’s visitation upon the world and Christianity. That hour of our final visitation is looming.

The coming days will see more devastating earthquakes, other natural catastrophes, distress of the nations, racial unrest breaking out into lawlessness with gang vigilante assaults between ethnic communities. The bitterness over the election of Donald Trump will continue as political opponents stoke the fires of hatred, paranoia, and continue to frame America as a culture of inequality. Christianity will continue to pretend America and the world will eventually settle down.

Most Christians are stuck in the devil’s end of the age passive stupor. Only a few will wake up, yet God in his mercy will visit his people one more time using his true servants to bring forth the message of “Wake up and come away from the false,” while crying out: “Christ’s return is at the doorstep!”

Many will ignore the warnings that will come with this visitation. Too many are dull to hear due to the incessant rantings from false alarmists, false prophets with dates, and false movements. So, now with the visitation about to spring forth—millions of Christians will ignore, belittle, and undermine this visitation, right as the midnight cry awakening begins in earnest—just as the priests, Pharisees, and scribes attacked and downplayed Christ first coming during Israel’s visitation.

Use the remaining time wisely and store your treasures in heaven, for without an obedient relationship with Christ, founded in Christ-like character, birthed and grown by the Lord’s discipline—you can expect terrible difficulties that could have been averted.

It is our call and mission to continue to warn and bring forth sound doctrine to help the hearer become ready—God’s way!

Your Continue Prayers and Financial Support

As we move into the next phase of this work, your continued help is vital. We want to thank each of you for your prayers, support, and patience. This time of the year is most difficult, but we trust the Lord will sustain you and direct you in ministry. and Lord willing share any extra resources to help us continue. It is our goal to continue to provide sound doctrine that addresses the needs of God’s people as the end of this age approaches.

We will not tell people what is soothing so we can stay funded by imploring church hoppers and Christian game players to attend, but rather bring forth the truth and help those we reach to become true disciples of Christ, equipped to fulfill God’s call to the ministry He ordains for each.

God bless each of you as we all look forward to 2017 and the opportunities to restore sound doctrine to the body of Christ—while there is still time.

Living on the Edge with Christ

Becoming His Workmanship to Rescue His Lost Sheep    by Charles Pretlow 11/23/16

For surf-boat2by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Most Christians don’t realize that their faith is being suffocated in our culture, as the cares of this life and lust for prosperity act as anchors, dragging the many into a complacent religious rabble. Even most sincere Christians have fallen out of sync with the Holy Spirit’s leading and power to accomplish God’s will on earth. The body of Christ in the American culture needs to be rescued from carnal works, lethargy, and passivity, and very soon—before the Great Tribulation begins.

Clustered, Pampered and Confused

False and carnal leaders have brought forth powerful teachings inspired by hell that has herded millions of Christians into amalgamated groups or clusters that follow their favorite celeb teacher. Just as the Apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Corinth: “I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.  For it has been reported to me by Chloe’s people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.”  Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?” (1 Corinthians 1:10-13).

And Paul wrote to Timothy prophesying this: “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,  and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Today, Christians are told what they want to hear to suit their own passions, mostly along the lines of how to lead an elitist religious-supernatural life that produces inner peace and outer prosperity. Few are instructed on how to give themselves to the lordship of Christ and “to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ” (Ephesians 4:15).

Little semblance of unity is found in the body of Christ, rather Christians gather in splintered activism groupings where church leadership keep most Christians in a strange sectarian state of confusion—pushing and pursuing pet projects and carnal outreach campaigns that produce false conversions—all to increase support and raise funds.

In this pathetic condition, few within the American portion of the body of Christ ever become prepared for the work of ministry, to be used of God to work with the downtrodden, the wounded, and the lost.

God has many good works in mind for the everyday saint to walk in, however, few are taught to enter God’s discipline and training program to become qualified. Instead, most believers warm the bench on the sidelines or dodge the work of ministry by hiding in the bleachers cheering on glorified leaders as they minister to the healthy and the wealthy. On the other hand, millions of naïve Christians become carnally energized in hyper faith movements, blindly serving leadership’s agenda—certainly not learning to be led by the Holy Spirit.

Spectator Saints Equipped to Applaud and Excel in Praise and Worship

False teachers and gimmick teachings abound, pulpiteers deliver moving sermons that lack practical theology and the meat of the word, Christian literature overflows the market place with celebrity authors pronouncing new revelations on how to obtain a blessed Christian life, or learn the secret Biblical keys to prosperity. Thousands throng to conferences, paying hundreds of dollars to secure a seat to sit under thrilling speakers. All in the hopes to receive a download of the anointing from a famed apostle or prophet.

Few Christians trapped in these last days counterfeit-toxic ministries ever wake up from the devil’s spell. Most are content to continue as spectators watching favorite leaders, learning to applaud and say amen when the message resonates with a disguised passion of the flesh. Myths and magic-thinking teachings prosper throughout the body of Christ creating a false spiritual aura and conjuring up good vibrations from their own spirit—all to resound in beautiful and harmonious praise and worship. The saints are ministered to over and over, pampered and appeased only to create addicts to the next moving message, fellowship event, or a thrilling praise and worship encounter.

Few are given a steady diet of sound doctrine that includes the message of the cross (dying to the passions and desires of the flesh,) along with teachings on how to embrace God’s everyday discipline that produces Christ-like character within. Few learn how to become equipped for work of ministry in everyday living—growing up into Christ no longer spectators—but equipped workers in God’s vineyard.

Submitting to the Discipline of the Lord in becoming God’s First Responders

It Is hard and often messy work in helping God’s sheep who struggle in life, mentoring on learning to work with Christ in true recovery and on to maturity. Many are down and out, wounded and defiled, suffering from a sin ridden life. Many in this condition still have faith and are willing to come to Christ but are unable to get started on their own. They need a jump start. They need to encounter one of God’s trained first responders—a Christian worker properly equipped for work of the ministry—effective ministry that empowers the faith of the wounded to seek Christ wholeheartedly and how to overcome instability.

Jesus made it clear in his story of the good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) that everyone that loves God will demonstrate love towards his or her neighbor—not just the friendly unsaved neighbor next door, but anyone within reach who needs a helping hand to get back on their feet. No greater witness there is than extending the love that God has put within us for those suffering. Few are trained in Christ’s school of ministry to work with discernment and true compassion, giving a jump start but not dispensing toxic charity that keep the wounded dependent. Certainly, these last days are proving that the powers of darkness are working feverishly to quell true discipleship.

Not an Easy Road—God Demands we be Disciplined by His Hand

(Study Hebrews 12:3-17)

I joined the Marine Corps in 1969 in great physical condition, I had just finished my freshman year of college football. Even then I was not ready for the mental and emotional stress that our drill instructors handed out. On boot camp graduation day, while still in our barracks, all three of our drill instructors stood in front of our platoon as the senior DI said the following: “We were hard on you because all three of us have been to Viet Nam. And we’ve seen too many body bags—if you hesitate in following orders, you’ll get killed or you’ll get your buddy killed.” This was said with tears in their eyes. I have never forgotten their sincerity.

Years later my oldest son enlisted in the Coast Guard. He described his training and it blew me away—I thought the Marines were tough but this branch of service is in the business of saving people in peril of severe weather and fighting treacherous seas.

Later in his service he was stationed on the Oregon coast and became a rescue surfboat coxswain (driver). Please note the picture I added—there is absolutely no room for the slightest mistake when attempting to rescue people on ships and boats floundering on the river bar or on the ocean. Absolute perfect team work is required and is accomplished through continuous extensive and exhaustive training.

Leadership throughout the body of Christ are called to equip the saints for true team work in ministry—continuously— “until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13).

The discipline and training that the military provides is certainly appropriate to be used as an external point of reference concerning our walk of faith with Christ. Contemplate how Jesus responded to the faith of the Roman centurion whose servant was ill.

Now a centurion had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him.  When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, ‘He is worthy to have you do this for him, for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us our synagogue.’ And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. Therefore, I did not presume to come to you. But say the word, and let my servant be healed. For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”  When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.” And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well” (Luke 7:2-10).

When we enlist in Christ’s school of ministry, every aspect of our carnal nature, self-power, and selfish motives will be put to the test so that Christ-like character transformation can take place. Both the Apostle Peter and James describe trials as fiery ordeals where the devil will come in force to draw out our hidden issues, and expose the cowards, quitters, and glory hounds.

Being used of God, as described in the following passage demands that we grow up and walk in the power of God, having Christ formed within us. “But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, ‘In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.’ It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh” (Jude 1:17-23).

Are you coasting with your faith, passively watching as a spectator, or are you running on hyper-faith carnal energy? Hopefully, you have offered your life as a living sacrifice and straining to become disciplined and trained by His hand—to live on the edge—as a first responder serving our Lord in rescuing his lost sheep in the power of His might?

Pray that the Lord of the harvest train and send workers into the harvest.

Mind Crippling and Paralyzing Fear is Coming

The “NO FEAR” generation is about to experience a rude awakening!      by Charles Pretlow 11/10/16

“And theno-fear-notre will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Luke 21:25-26).

The stage is set for the fulfillment of Christ’s prophetic warning for this last generation. Over the last thirty years or so, the American culture, including most Christians have arrogantly ignored or downplayed the looming signs that clearly point to the end of this age. For believers, various false teachings about what the end of this age will look like, along with the pre-tribulation rapture lie, has helped anesthetize millions upon millions of Christians into a complete zombie state—a dead sleep—just as Jesus described in the parable of the ten maidens (Matthew 25:1-13).

When the Berlin wall fell and the cold war ended, a subtle blanket of “world peace euphoria” enveloped America and much of the western world. However, over the last twenty years another cold war has subtly arose under the radar of most Americans and most Christians—few realize the significance of the military aggression of Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. Of course, all the Christian false alarmists decrying the rapture will occur on a certain date along with the conspiracy theorists who incite paranoia with false warnings have added to the numbing process. Jesus also warn about these false prophets and false prognosticators.

The rise of Muslim extremists warring against Israel, Christians, and the west is considered the last obstacle blocking world peace. Few see the world being positioned by satanic powers of darkness preparing to ignite worldwide Armageddon.

Now, as the world begins adjusts to a new political power structure in America, Christians and the more conservative and moralists in American are beginning to breathe a sigh of relief.

Don’t be fooled, this coming next five to eight years is the lull leading up to the end of this age perfect storm. Not only are the enemies of America, Christianity, and Israel frothing to spill into more cultural unrest, anarchy, and terrorism—earthquakes, natural disasters, and the roaring of the seas are going to increase in giant leaps of magnitude and frequency.

Thus, most Christians will still stay asleep and ignore the signs that Christ clearly described that point to the end of this age, where international perplexities and the upheaval of nature will slowly begin to strike fear in the hearts of the masses. There is a crescendo to these coming tempests, where God’s faithfulness is demonstrated with these terrible shakings to restore the fear of God for those who still have a heart for God and an ear to hear—before sudden destruction falls.

More shaking and turmoil is coming, which is God’s last attempt to awaken His people and His lost sheep. Christ’s servants will be released to shout the midnight cry. Many Christians are about to wake up and find themselves not ready. False peace has fallen like a spellbinding mist even though the end is near, just as the Apostle Paul described:

Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11).

We must grow up into salvation, walk in a healthy fear God with all humility, keeping our nerve as these things unfold. We must learn to abide in Christ (the true Christ) and learn to discern and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit—in doing these things we will be awake, strong, and ready to endure all these things and stand before Him at His coming.

“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36).

Charismatic Counterfeit Upheaval

Satan is about to Throw Deceived Charismatic Christians Under the Bus

by Charles Pretlow 9/30/16

The Charismatic movement with its so-called waves of increased manifestations over the years has captivated millions of naïve believers. The Charismatic approach to spreading the Gospel of Christ attracts new believers looking for a spiritual buzz and spiritual power.

A spiritual buzz to quell the nagging issues within the heart due to impurities and unbelief that accompany a double-minded condition. And spiritual power to influence and impose the will of self upon others supernaturally. All in the name of Christ.

Over the many decades this Satanic Trojan horse scheme of Charismatic counterfeiting has been truly successful. Few within the Charismatic camp of the body of Christ see this angel of light deception in its fullness and the insidious deceit that blinds so many.

You might be questioning my knowledge and insight concerning this evil work upon so many of God’s people. To put you at ease, I was involved in the very foundation of this satanic treachery in the mid-seventies and then later in the early nineties when the Lord led me out of this deception and disciplined me to walk in the true gifts of the Holy Spirit. (The details of this change of heart and growth in discernment will be included in the up and coming book – Midnight Cry Awakening God’s Final Call Upon The-End-of-This-Age Sleeping Church.)

Counterfeit Treachery Upon the Deceived

In the present state of the Charismatic movement, few will take any true warning to heart. God knows how deep this deception has become. This is all due to the widespread idolatry of spiritual power and the obsession with the anointing and anointed leadership—which has induced gross denial—blinding the deceived to behave like alcoholic binge drinkers.

Thus, the Lord in is his mercy is about to allow the devil and his counterfeiting minions to turn upon the many gullible who ingested false manifestations, believing it all to be the love, peace, and joy of the Lord. Soon, the false joy and false peace will dissipate and turn to dejection, confusion, and irrepressible inner angst.

These false manifestations that seem to have a Prozac-like influence upon the infected will change from sensuous feelings to tormenting emotional and physical pain accompanied with mental duress. In many cases the mental and emotional anxiety will drive the infected believer into hysteria and mental collapse. The quick fix gimmicks and carnal praise and worship that once quelled the inner turmoil will no longer have its normal soothing effects.

Tormenting demons have been subtly working all along, driving the deceived Charismatic Christians into the arms of the counterfeiting angel of light principalities, just as king Saul suffered for his disobedience and ill issues of heart. “Now the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and a harmful spirit from the LORD tormented him” (1 Samuel 16:14). Saul’s servants brought in David (the very cause of Saul’s jealous power hungry behavior) to play music to help soothe Saul’s torment. Eventually, Saul sought out direction from the Witch of Endor (divination and necromancy) in seeking direction and deliverance.

Few understand that the demonic is allowed to torment and harass believers to lead them to deal with impurities of heart, hidden defilements, and self-centered motives. A major work of the Holy Spirit upon a believer’s life is internal conflict, “For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do” (Galatians 5:17).

Since most Charismatic leaders tell their followers what they want to hear, prophesying only good, a hardened condition exists within the hearts of most Charismatics. To break this stubborn condition, many will soon suffer extreme torment where nothing will ease the oppression. The only relief will come by way of repentance and renouncing the false, then allowing the Holy Spirit to bring to light the true intentions of the heart for cleansing and transformation.

The current wave of manifestations consuming the Charismatic movement parallel eastern mysticism and various Hindu cult spiritual manifestations. An excellent read on these false manifestation taking hold of so many is by Andrew Strom. The book is entitled, KUNDALINI WARNING – Are False Spirits Invading the Church? Here is the Amazon link.

If you have been involved in these practices, seeking quick-fix deliverance and instant joy to cover hidden or denied issues, then I adamantly warn you to deal with these false manifestations and your wayward motives of heart.
