A Sudden Shout to Come Out!

The True Messengers of Christ will be Appear Soon

Jesus taught much about the end of this age. For the Christian, he warned not to be slothful and passive in their relationship with God or ignore the signs of the coming trouble leading up to his return. Also he warned to watch out for false prophets, false leaders, and false alarmists. Unfortunately, we see few ministries and very few Christians practicing what Christ taught about discernment and preparedness as the end of this age approaches.

We have warned time and again by pointing out the many trouble flashpoints appearing over the last 20 years, those that Christ and Scripture elaborate upon. These flashpoints are like mile markers clearly indicating how quickly a worldwide day of reckoning with God is drawing near. The world is about to be tossed into a cauldron of chaos as described in Revelation chapter six—wars, savagery, economic mayhem, famine and plagues.

The simple reasons that most Christians reject true warnings are due to false teachings that keep the majority of God’s people at ease and in love with this world. Then also, many ignore these warnings because they have become gun-shy by the false alarmists who set dates of Christ’s appearance—not wanting to venture into any type of extremism for fear of being labeled a false fanatic.

God knows that most Christians will be in a stupor—asleep during the darkest hour. We are warned of this dangerous condition with various teachings of Christ and the New Testament writers. In particular Christ describes this sleepy condition in his parable of the ten slumbering maidens awaiting the appearance of the bridegroom in Mathew 25.

But at Midnight There will be a Cry—A Sudden Shout to Come Out

In that parable we read this portion, “As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps” (Matthew 25:5-7 ESV).

Indeed, most are asleep—however, this condition is about change with a sudden shout. But from whom and how will that cry or shout come?

A threshold is about to be crossed where the birth pangs of the coming kingdom will become a torrent of signs, troubles, and perplexities forcing the world and most Christians to finally take pause. The-end-of-the-age message will become forefront to Christianity. There are various mangled end-time-scenarios embraced by Christians today that mislead many; however, the correct end-time-scenario will be delivered by true bondservants of Christ in the near future.

True messengers of Christ will appear from nowhere accompanied with powerful signs and wonders that will make the current counterfeit gifts and empty manifestations pale in comparison. These men and women will be common people not trained in man’s teachings. Rather, they will be people prepared for this coming hour in Christ’s school of ministry in life, where the work of the cross has been embraced and suffering, trials, and the discipline of the Lord have been their schoolmaster.

In cultural context of the parable of the ten maidens, it was custom in Christ’s day for those who announced the coming of the bridegroom to be his close bondservants who were in-the-know concerning the bridegroom’s schedule. They came announcing with a loud cry or shout, “Behold the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.”

What will be the Content of the Sudden Shout?

This sudden shout will be—come out to meet Christ and to be ready by embracing the message of the cross.

The crucifixion of the love for this world, the lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh, as well as the idolatry of false and carnal leaders will be the main thrust. The harder teachings of Christ will be heralded along with the cleansing and purifying work of the Lord’s discipline. “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24) will be the true body of Christ’s marching orders. For those who avoid the work of the cross—in the end they will not belong to Christ.

God’s people must be instructed in no uncertain terms how to bring to death the works of the flesh, the love of this world, and walk in the true righteousness of Christ—thus growing up into Christ and belonging to him. Unfortunately, many will be locked out of the wedding feast because they bypassed the work of the cross, as indicated in our parable of the ten maidens.

Undergirding the message of dying to the works of the flesh and character transformation will be sound doctrine that supports true discipleship and the lordship of Christ.

These messenger will walk in the true power of God with piercing messages and true testimonies that will confound and confront the established Christian institutions—those fellowships and organizations that cling to false doctrine and manmade methods that glory in denominational pride. Unity of the true body of Christ will be finally realized when the Church of Jesus Christ learns to follow and obey the true Christ supported by true bondservant leaders, those true messengers of Christ shouting out- come out and become ready. (See Ephesians 4:11-16.)

Angels Sent to Uproot the Weeds

Jesus also saw another terrible situation for God’s people at the end-of-the-age. He explained how at the end times the devil insidiously in stealth would implant evil people among God’s people, in where these implants would look almost identical to a true Christian. (See Matthew 13:24-30; 36-43.)

In removing these evil implants, Christ explains by declaring, “Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace” (Matthew 13:40-42).

House cleaning is coming for the body of Christ—a purging of the evil implants that have made their way into fellowship, leadership, and families; these noxious weeds will be exposed for who they truly are and be uprooted.

We must consider Biblical precedent in understanding how the angels of the Lord might accomplish the gathering and burning of all the evil people strewn within Christ’s kingdom, the body of Christ. As you recall, the angel of death made distinction between the first born male Egyptians and that of the first born males of God’s people held as slaves living amongst the Egyptians. Then, consider how Moses was directed by God to have the Israelites separate themselves from the other Jews who fell into rebellion with Korah and thus were destroyed.

The Apostle Peter was used by the Lord to draw out and destroy Ananiʹas and Sapphiʹra. This husband and wife teamed up to deceive Peter and as believers they allowed Satan fill their hearts to gain self-recognition. Or consider this account in the book of Acts, “On an appointed day Herod put on his royal robes, took his seat upon the throne, and delivered an oration to them. And the people were shouting, “The voice of a god, and not of a man!” Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last” (Acts 12:21-23).

Therefore, the angels of the Lord certainly know how to surgically destroy the wicked without harming the righteous, or protect the righteous and allow the evil to die—in the case of pestilence or natural disasters. The key is not being found in the camp of the wicked who pretend to be Christian, for there will soon be a distinction between the weeds and the wheat for all to see, leaving no neutral ground to stand upon.

No Neutral Ground—Come Out or be Locked Out

The message for each of us who have an ear to hear is to come out from amongst the false and love not the world. In the parable of the ten maidens Christ classified two distinct groups, five of the maidens were foolish and five were wise. The foolish were not of Christ-like character as depicted in the parable by not taking extra oil to brighten their lamps to see in the darkness.

The foolish maidens represent Christians who embrace the lies of the world and follow Christ in name only, not truly in love with Christ. They have one foot in church and the other in the world trying to use God to bless them with earthly things as they learn to befriend the world at the same time. They lust after false leaders who tell them what they want to hear and oppose sound doctrine and true servants of Christ who tell it like it is. “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Again, referring back to the parable of the ten maidens, in the end the foolish asked the wise to share with them their extra oil—being turned down the foolish were forced to go out into the market place to buy extra oil and in the end were locked out of the marriage feast. Indeed, the message from the Holy Spirit to every believer today is come out or be locked out!

Persecution and Tribulation—For a Pure Bride

Part of that angelic work of separating the weeds for the wheat—to ready the true and screen out the false—will come in the form of persecution and tribulation. This type of pressure brought on by the world will wake up many and cause a rift between the genuine and the phony—persecution madness is already coming to a boil here in America.

With the increase persecution and trouble, the false will begin to show their true colors, just as Judas threw Christ and the disciples under the bus; in many cases, so will the false betray the true believer in the coming days. There must be a coming away from the love of this world and the cares of this live as well as the world’s deception, but also there must be a coming away from the false Christian. (See Matthew 24:9-14.)

God is in Control of the Chaos—That is for the True Believer

To repeat, the world is heading swiftly towards the day of reckoning, where unexplainable chaos and mayhem will be the norm. For the false Christian, the unbeliever, and the wicked—panic and fear will become pervasive and frequently overwhelming. However, for the tried and true believer, those who abide in Christ and obey will find themselves safe and at peace, riding out the coming torrent of mayhem like floating in the eye of a hurricane.

Discernment and working where God is working will become a major priority that all must master. Learning to let the chaos wake up the lost and cause the backslidden and disenfranchised believers to wake up and return to the fold at the right time is key to minimizing trouble and avoiding betrayal.

Too many times well-meaning immature Christians try to share the Gospel out of God’s timing and in the strong arm of the flesh. For the sold-out servant of Christ, all is in order and in His timing—for dominion belongs to God for ever and ever—see 1 Peter 5:6-11.

The Final Harvest through the Great Tribulation

These birth pangs that we are now experiencing, full of chaos and persecution, are part of the shout-out from God to help wake up his sleeping church. There is need for the true body of Christ to become battle-ready to endure and work for lost souls throughout the Great Tribulation. The final harvest of a great multitude of souls will be facilitated during this coming extreme worldwide trouble.

“And he said to me, ‘These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb’” (Revelation 7:14).

It is time to wake up and embrace the Lord’s discipline and become trained as his true servants—to be part of the true messengers of Christ heralding the good news of the coming kingdom.

Road Rage Shootouts

The Bright Red Horse and Rider of the Apocalypse    September 18, 2014

I am amazed with the extreme passivity and lackadaisical mindset that most Christians walk in. It is clear that the false alarmists, the rapture before trouble preachers, and the peace and security prophets have lulled most believers into ignoring these last days warning signs.

In talking about the coming trouble, most shy away by saying such things as, “I have Jesus, I’ll be ready, if he returns in my life time.” As confident as many appear, with this mindset most will not be ready for the coming trouble. The signs and warnings Christ spoke of that are appearing in the news almost daily should be alarming and awakening God’s people. God’s people should be moving towards seriously dealing with the issues of the flesh, love of this world (America), and sin. Few discern the hour and few discern the difference between sound doctrine and false teachings that lull so many to sleep. Jesus warned that there would be great trouble before he returned and that we should:

“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36).

Few watch the signs and watch themselves concerning where their affections of heart gravitate.

The Bright Red Horse of the Apocalypse

The Apostle John’s revelation or apocalypse lays out specific indicators concerning the coming trouble and one of his end time visions describes people slaying one another.

“When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, ‘Come!’  And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword” (Revelation 6:3-4).

Have you noticed the drastic increase in homicides; more and more are gruesome, senseless, and random, like some horror movie played out across the nation? Anyone can become a victim of some murderous rampage by just going to the store or watching TV in his or her living room. The world and America is not at peace and now rage, mayhem, and murder are at our doorsteps.

America Used to be Peaceful

Born in 1950, I grew up in a time of peace and security all across the nation. Yes, the cold war was in full swing and racial tensions were high (especially in the 60s); however, grotesques murders and crime sprees had subsided when prohibition ended back in the thirties. Then with the Great Depression came a sense of mutual respect and civility, along with the fear of God and this mindset swept the nation. When WWII broke out the country pulled together and the fear and the love of God was common throughout our culture.

However, peace and security for Americans can no longer be taken for granted. That bright red horse and rider of Revelation that the Apostle John saw is coming rapidly, yielding a great sword—inciting people to slay one another.

Yes, wars and rumor of war are now constant, along with the brutal murders in the Mid-East highlighted by the beheading of journalists and aid workers, and now fears of ISIS infiltrating the USA has become reality. Recently, the Australian authorities raided an ISIS group that was plotting to randomly behead innocent people in city streets. US Sheriffs and city police along the Mexican border are on high alert—ISIS infiltrators are seeping into the country with illegal immigrates—these marauding killers are intent on beheading innocent US citizens in the streets of America.

The ISIS and jihadists are an aspect of the apocalyptic bright red horse and rider; however, few realize the increased killings across America are also part of John’s prophetic vision and should be taken as a warning for us.

Recently a man traveling from New York to Florida on his motor cycle was making his way to see his girlfriend to propose marriage was murdered. He had stopped to phone her and was standing outside a McDonald’s restaurant talking on his cellphone. A homeless man walked up and stabbed him multiple times. The police found the killer across the street at a Burger King. When asked why he stabbed to death an innocent stranger, he said, “I thought he was calling people to come and kill me.”

Road Rage Shootouts Victimizing Ordinary Citizens

What I see coming is another aspect of the bright red horse and rider in the form of another onslaught of maniacal people finding power to kill from within their automobiles. We are not only at risk just by stopping on the sidewalk to make a phone call, or being kidnapped and beheaded by ISIS infiltrators, but also now, people will be at risk while driving in their automobiles.

The Lord is warning me that a “gang mentality” will come upon many embittered and deranged people, and while out carousing looking for action they will become compelled to kill others. They will have loaded weapons in their vehicles and suddenly on an impulse for fun or just out of pent-up rage will randomly assault other motorists. Many of the encounters will result in shooting at the innocent in their vehicles and running them off the road.

Just as the Apostle Paul prophesied of the last days in 2 Timothy 3, more and more people have become heartless, brutal, treacherous, and reckless having no self-control, where many will be demonically compelled to act like irrational animals and randomly take the lives of others.  For many of these diabolical human beings, the automobile will become a power trip and when mixed with firearms will make them feel invincible (delusional).

Jesus said it; the last days would be like the days of Noah, where most would be oblivious to the mounting threat of deadly-destructive judgments and the coming end. We must learn to abide in Christ, walk in his discipline, learning to be always alert:

But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place. Ώ

Believe Them Not

Discerning Evil’s Treachery in these Last Days    September 2, 2014

We have repeatedly warned of a coming upheaval in society where hidden evil would surface and wreak havoc. Certainly, every area of the American society and of our once honorable institutions has taken hits in morality, integrity, and accountability. Evil now is predominately glorified and good is vilified.

I want to warn of another wave of wickedness that is now surfacing, where the devil is focusing on relationships—within families, in fellowships, in business, with peers at work, and even between seemly sound marriages.

This next wave will hit fellowships, families, marriages, and friendships—where certain close relationships with family and friends, (who seemed on the up-and-up,) will turn weird and treacherous.

The devil now has at his disposal a ripe arsenal—a multitude of people, having evil hearts that are disguised by friendly smiles who speak smooth words. They will be used of Satan to snare the undiscerning believer—the word I have been given from the Lord is: believe them not!

Just as the prophet Jeremiah was warned by the Lord, so is the same warning for us today:

“For even your brothers and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; they are in full cry after you; believe them not, though they speak fair words to you.” (Jeremiah 1:6 RSV).

Control, possessiveness, compulsions, gossip, meddling, and secret sins will begin to grow and lead to betrayal, releasing the dark issues of the heart once concealed. Bitterness, jealousy, and secret demented lifestyles will emerge spewing chaos and poisoning relationships.

Satan is going to use his “evil-weed implants” to hit every sincere saint with lies, immoral choices, and soul vexing temptations. The devil is about raise his spiritual influence in order to sift the lukewarm and naïve Christian to near insanity. This next round of satanic influences will cause many to fall away. It will be in a similar manner the devil used in his attempt to destroy Peter’s faith.

The devil will use family and friends who have gone over to the dark side and try to drag the weak and unprepared saint down into the abyss by way of wrong relationship ties. This is a softening strategy leading to the coming great persecution and falling away—a precursor move to destroy the weak-faith Christian, so when in the valley of decision they will crumble.

We are entering into a time to learn to take note of those who we are in relationship with. Using the Apostle Paul’s admonishment, we are to:

“Watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naïve” (Romans 16:17-18 ESV).

In addition, I want to remind us all of what the Apostle Paul also prophesied—how the last day’s culture would turn treacherous and ugly. Pay attention to how accurate the following prophesy is in describing our current culture:

“For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,   heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people” (2 Timothy 3:2-5 ESV). Ώ

Not Be At Once

End of the Age Progression: Will it awaken you or lull you?      August 20, 2914

It seems like the world keeps on going as it continues to unravel. Most of the flash points of Christ’s return and the end of this age seem to be popping up, then going away, then another pops up, then goes away.

In Luke 21:5-26, Jesus describes the progression of the end of this age and states, “And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end will not be at once” (Luke 21:9).

The point that I would like to expound upon is, but the end will not be at once. Jesus is explaining to his disciples and to us the progression of end-time indicators that include the destruction of the temple, the fall of Jerusalem, then the coming of false prophets misleading many saying, “The time is at hand,” and then Christ adds that all nations will become distressed and perplexed with all the trouble coming upon the world. The progression will hit a pitch or crescendo that will cause great fear, as the age of the gentiles ends.

Need for Endurance

In verse 19, Jesus says, “By your endurance you will gain your lives.” This warning is not just for the original disciples, but also for every disciple down through history, especially for us in the last moments of this age.

I am afraid that most believers are ignorant of the trial of endurance set before us concerning staying alert while enduring the last “years” of this age.

Satan’s Trap

As the signs keep popping up and then going away, many who have awakened to the fact that we are living in the last times, go back to sleep. Jesus warned, “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap” (verse 34). (Are we learning what it means to watch ourselves?)

Now is the time to peel away from the love of this age and the cares of this life, and learn to discern and resist the powers of a very perverted culture; a culture that vexes the soul and deadens the spirit.

As a believer, if we hear the word but do not act, then we will become “at risk” of being caught in Satan’s trap and locked out of the marriage feast even as believers. That day is swiftly approaching, leaving us less and less time to prepare. Many are listening but are now being lulled back to sleep. Just hearing the truth and believing will not protect and strengthen us for what is coming, for the worst is yet to come. James writes, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22).

Many say to themselves, “everything is delayed” or “we have been hearing these warnings for years, and it has not yet come.” This may not be the exact thoughts, but these type of thoughts represent a widespread nonchalant attitude for many believers and reflects a hardened condition of the heart and a passive mindset.

No, the end has not come yet, because Jesus said the end would not be at once. These pauses and seeming delays are God’s grace and mercy, giving his people time to wake up and get ready through long-suffering and by enduring trials. The biggest trial to overcome is staying vigilant year after year during these cycles.

Cycles will End in a Crescendo

Notice the cycles of signs, troubles, and worldwide disorder are increasing in frequency and intensity. Jesus called these cycles birth pangs of the coming kingdom. We should all be familiar with the progression of childbirth and how giving birth often becomes drawn out with delays and false labor pains. When the day arrives, mother and father should be ready, for on that day everything changes and the sure pain of childbirth demands full attention and preparedness.

Mothers who learn to pay attention to the cycles of pain in frequency and intensity become ready when that moment arrives.

We should always be alert and be ready as Christ stated, “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near” (verse 28).

Use this time to straighten up and get ready, starting now, do not let the end of this age progression lull you back to sleep.

Can Act It, Can’t Live It

The suicide death of Robin Williams   August 13, 2014

The passing of famous people often make the news headlines, however when popular actors kill themselves, the news is shocking and often becomes over dramatized.
With the recent suicide of Robin Williams, many are expressing dismay and sadness, leaving many to wonder. Most wonder why and how this could happen to such a popular and apparently successful person.

In Robin’s case, depression, drugs, alcohol, loss of popularity, and failed marriages are the supposed reasons, which are the most common for many who end their own life. However, these are symptoms of a much deeper problem and Christians who truly believe in Christ and embrace his teachings should know the real issues.

Robin Williams’ death is not an anomaly, but rather a prime example of a nation of people who have learned to act a normal happy life, yet fail miserably at living life with all its ups and downs. Robin did a great job of believing what he pretended, yet the reality of living apart from truth eventually took its toll.

Williams portrayed many believable roles of true life psychiatrists, physicians, and anti-establishment role models that helped the handicapped and the mentally ill, or portrayed the misunderstood outsider who made life better for others. He acted it, but couldn’t live it.

When we live apart from Christ, who is THE TRUTH, we live a lie. Living a lie gives false hope, and life eventually falls apart because hope to live happily in this world is one of the biggest lies this world offers.

Robin made a career out of making people laugh and be happy. He acted happy, yet he was miserable on the inside. In 1988, Robin made a music video with Bobby McFerrin entitled “Don’t worry be happy” that became popular, and how apropos to Christ warnings concerning acting life out happily while living apart from the author and giver of life. “Thus it is written,  ‘The first man Adam became a living being’; the last Adam [meaning Christ] became a life-giving spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45).

Many Christians are taught to pretend to be happy, not to worry, and to make the world and its culture a friend. (See James 4:4.) They do not know that this approach estranges them from having personal relationship with the living God. Christians who try to reconcile happiness as the world offers with Christ’s promises of life forces one to act as if they have life. Most false doctrines teach how to be happy apart from obeying and abiding in Christ, which boils down to pretending and believing the pretense. Those who live this way find they did not garner substance and quality of character to live in peace and security when “life on earth” troubles and deception fall upon them.

Like Robin, many Christians have no peace when the truth of the world catches up with them.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Expect to hear of more suicides, not just of the rich and famous, but of the common person in your neighborhood. The world’s lies about life, hope and change is starting to be seen for what it is — a pack of lies.
