Beating a Dead Horse

The Prophets of Prosperity are trying to Wipe Egg from Their Faces

angif-flog-a%20dead-horse-defThe end-of-this-age is racing towards us and most visible leaders of God’s people are prophesying from their own hearts to save face. All the predictions of Christ and the Apostles clearly describe this hour, the birth pangs of the coming kingdom and the Great Tribulation.

Yet prophets like Cindy Jacobs, Loren Sandford, Dutch Sheets, Rodney Howard-Browne, Greg Laurie, Reinhard Bonnke, Mike Huckabee, Kenneth Copeland, Rick Joyner, Mike Bickle,  James Goll, Jack Hayford, Ben Carson, David Barton, Chuck Pierce and the list goes on—all prophesy that an awakening and revival must come so God can save America.

Read what Ezekiel wrote concerning the same type of prophetic nonsense of his day, as Israel stood at the edge of severe judgment, those prophets did not warn God’s people to prepare for what is to come. “They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘Declares the LORD,’ when the LORD has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word. Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination, whenever you have said, ‘Declares the LORD,’ although I have not spoken? (Ezekiel 13:6-7).

The prophets of today, like the false prophets in Ezekiel’s day are prophesying from their own hearts and following their own spirits. Instead of warning how to prepare for what is coming most are prophesying false hope concerning America. These are beating a dead horse, in the hope of preventing the inevitable from taking place, to circumvent the end-of-this-age from coming, which includes the judgment of America and a wayward and apostate church.

“Thus says the Lord GOD, Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!  Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, O Israel. You have not gone up into the breaches, or built up a wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in battle in the day of the LORD.  They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘Declares the LORD,’ when the LORD has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word” (Ezekiel 13:3-6).
